10001 Nights Megaways Overview

10001 Nights Megaways is the dynamic-reels version of Red Tiger’s Arabian Nights slot, released on 28 July 2022. It plays on 6 reels that each show up to seven symbols, which gives up to 117,649 ways to win. The RTP is 96%, the volatility is high and the maximum win is 10,346x the stake – the same ceiling as the original 10,001 Nights.

The reels sit inside a gilded frame in a desert palace, with lanterns, silk curtains and heaps of gold coins around them. Above the grid hang four Feature Lamps, and the number of active ways is shown on a plaque under the logo.

How the Ways Work

The game’s own help screen shows the rule clearly: symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, and the size of a symbol does not matter. Every spin changes the height of each reel, so the number of ways moves constantly. In our screenshots the plaque read 3,402, 11,520 and 36,288 ways on different spins.

Wins trigger cascades: the winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in, and the sequence continues as long as new wins form.

The Paytable

The symbol table pays as multiples of the total bet. The four gem-coloured card suits form the low tier:

  • Spade – 0.7x for six, 0.5x for five, 0.4x for four, 0.2x for three.
  • Heart – 0.6x / 0.4x / 0.3x / 0.2x.
  • Diamond – 0.5x / 0.4x / 0.3x / 0.1x.
  • Club – 0.4x for six down to 0.1x for three.

The high tier is the tiger (1.4x for six), the camel (1.2x), the golden vase (1x) and the curled slipper (0.8x). The turbaned hero tops the table: four of him pay 1.2x and three pay 0.7x, and his six-of-a-kind value is about 3x (it is partly covered in our capture, but it matches the published figure).

Wins From Our Session

We played at £2.00 per spin, and every win we captured matches the paytable exactly:

  • £14.40 – six ways of four heroes: 6 × 1.2x × £2.
  • £12.80 – sixteen ways of five hearts: 16 × 0.4x × £2.
  • £9.60 – eight ways of four vases: 8 × 0.6x × £2.
  • £2.40 – two ways of five slippers: 2 × 0.6x × £2.
  • £3.20 – a mixed cascade of spades and diamonds over five ways.

The heart win shows how the engine rewards tall reels: four hearts stacked on the first reel multiplied every other hit.

The Feature Lamps

According to the game’s published feature description, every Magic Lamp symbol adds oil to the four lamps above the reels. Filling a lamp unlocks a modifier, and once unlocked, each one can trigger at random on later spins:

  • Imperial Spin (6 lamps) – removes the low symbols from the grid.
  • Random Wilds (13 lamps) – adds up to 10 wilds.
  • Multi-Pick Bonus (21 lamps) – pick a card for an x3, x5 or x8 multiplier on the next win.
  • Mega Wilds (30 lamps) – up to 4 full wild reels, each with a x2 to x7 multiplier.

Progress is saved separately for each stake, so changing the bet starts a new collection, while returning to the old stake restores it. Several modifiers can fire on the same spin.

Destiny Free Spins

The Destiny Spins scatter – a domed tent marked DESTINY SPINS, visible on reel 3 and reel 6 in our screenshots – starts the bonus. Three scatters award 8 free spins, with 2 more for every extra scatter, and three scatters during the round add another 6.

The round’s key element is a progressive multiplier: it starts at x1 and rises by one with every cascading win, up to x20. With 117,649 ways and long cascades, that multiplier is where the 10,346x ceiling becomes reachable.

Compared With the Original

The first 10,001 Nights used a fixed grid; this version keeps the same lamps, the same Destiny Spins and the same maximum win, and adds the changing reel heights and the growing free spins multiplier. Fans of the original will recognise every symbol, from the tiger to the slipper.

Reading the Ways Counter

The plaque under the logo is worth watching, because it tells you how generous each spin can be before a single symbol pays. The number is simply the product of the reel heights: six reels of seven symbols give the full 117,649, while shorter reels cut it down quickly. Our spins ranged from 3,402 to 36,288 ways, and the biggest of our base-game wins did not come from the spin with the most ways – the £12.80 heart win landed on an 11,520-ways spin because the first reel carried four hearts.

That is the practical rule for this engine: a tall first reel full of one symbol is worth more than a high number on the plaque.

Theme and Presentation

Red Tiger kept the rich look of the original. The hero wears a white turban with a red jewel, the tiger and camel are painted in warm tones, and the golden vase and the embroidered slipper glow when they win. Winning positions are framed in bright gold, and the win amount appears in large gold letters across the reels, so every cascade is easy to follow.

Who It Is For

10001 Nights Megaways suits players who like long-term goals: the four lamps give a reason to stay on one stake, and the free spins multiplier gives a real chance at a large win. The base game pays small amounts – most of our captured wins were between 1.2x and 7.2x – so the high volatility rating is accurate.
