How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

20 Mega Star Overview

20 Mega Star is a classic five-reel fruit slot from CT Interactive with 20 fixed paylines, a red 7 that doubles as the Wild, a star Scatter and a card-based double-up feature. The studio lists its release date as 1 January 2025 and its maximum win as 1,000x.

CT Interactive does not publish an RTP for its games, so the return depends on the configuration an operator chooses – the in-game information panel at the casino is the place to check it. There is no free spins round and no bonus symbol in the studio’s own description; everything happens on the base reels and in the gamble screen.

All figures below were read from the demo at a 10.00 total bet, which the game splits into a 0.50 bet on each of the twenty lines.

A Neon Fruit Machine

The look is pure arcade. The reels sit on a green felt background inside a glowing orange frame, and the whole machine is set against a burst of pink and purple light beams, like a slot cabinet under a nightclub ceiling.

The header above the reels reads 7 IS WILD, and two green bars running down either side carry the number 20 at every row with the word FIXED – a reminder that the line count cannot be changed. The small FUN badge in the top right corner shows the demo credit denomination.

The symbols are the traditional fruit machine set, drawn large and glossy: cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes and watermelons, together with a gold star and a red 7 with the word Wild written across it.

The Paytable Is Printed Per Line

This is the single most important thing to understand about CT Interactive games, and 20 Mega Star is no exception: the values in the paytable are what one line pays at the current line bet, not multiples of your total stake.

At a 0.50 line bet the Wild 7 pays 500.00 for five, 200.00 for four and 20.00 for three. Five 7s on a line is therefore 1,000 times the line bet – the 1,000x the studio publishes – but only 50x the 10.00 total bet.

The same studio figure also works on the total stake, just in a different way. If all fifteen positions showed a 7, every one of the twenty lines would pay 500.00 at once, for a total of 10,000.00 – exactly 1,000x the total bet. That full-screen result is the practical ceiling of the game.

Fruit Values at a 0.50 Line Bet

Below the 7, the fruit are paid in three tiers. Grapes are the best of them at 200.00 for five, 40.00 for four and 10.00 for three. Watermelons and plums share the next tier at 100.00, 20.00 and 10.00.

Lemons pay 50.00 for five, and oranges and cherries pay 50.00, 10.00 and 5.00. In total-bet terms, a five-of-a-kind of the cheapest fruit on a single line returns five times the stake.

With twenty lines on a 5x3 grid, most positions sit on several lines at once. That is why a board covered in one fruit pays far more than its single-line value suggests.

The rules screen draws all twenty patterns on a small grid each: the straight rows, V shapes and zig-zags that climb and dip across the five reels. Because the lines are fixed, every spin plays all of them, and the 10.00 total is simply twenty times the 0.50 line stake.

A 7 That Does Two Jobs

The red 7 is both the Wild and the best-paying symbol. The rules describe it as substituting for all other symbols except the star, so a 7 landing anywhere helps whatever fruit line runs through it – while five of them on a line are paid at the 7’s own rate, the highest in the table.

In practice this means the Wild rarely feels wasted. In our captures the 7s appeared stacked two high on a reel more than once, and each time they turned an ordinary fruit board into a multi-line win.

The Star Scatter

The gold star is the Scatter, and it is the one symbol the Wild cannot replace. It pays anywhere on the reels, and the game shows the result in its own line under the grid: in our session three stars produced SCATTERS = 50.00, or 5x the total bet.

The full ladder is 50.00 for three, 200.00 for four and 5,000.00 for five. Five Scatters are worth 500x the total bet on their own, which makes the star the biggest single payout in the game and the one to watch on every spin.

What the Reels Paid

Our demo results show how the per-line values add up. The largest single spin paid 470.00 (47x) from a board almost entirely covered in lemons, with two Wild 7s on the fourth reel completing line after line.

A board of plums with two Wilds stacked on the first reel paid 125.00 (12.5x), and another spin with three Wilds scattered across the grid paid 30.00 (3x). A full five-of-a-kind is marked with a fireworks animation and a 5 OF A KIND! banner across the reels.

The balance moved from 99,970.00 at the start of the captures to 100,235.00 at the end – a modest drift, but one built from a few board-wide hits rather than a steady trickle.

Double Up: Colour or Suit

After a winning spin, the x2 button in the lower left opens the double-up screen. The game offers it only on wins below 10x the total bet; above that figure the win is simply banked.

A face-down card sits in the middle. Guessing red or black doubles the amount, and guessing the suit multiplies it by four. In our session a 50.00 win showed 100.00 on the colour side and 200.00 on the suit side.

Two touches make it more considered than most gamble features. A 1/2 button lets you gamble only half of the win and keep the rest, and a strip across the top shows the last ten cards drawn. The choice is also timed: if you do nothing for five seconds, the start button turns into a cancel button.

Who Should Play It

20 Mega Star is for players who want a straightforward fruit machine with no feature rounds to wait for. Everything is visible on the base reels, and the Scatter and full-screen combinations give it more reach than the plain look suggests.

The reservations are the per-line paytable, which can make the numbers look larger than they are, and the lack of a published RTP. Read the table as a line value and check the operator’s information panel before playing for real money.
