3 Muertos Overview

3 Muertos is a Day of the Dead slot from Amigo Gaming, released in October 2025. A painted Catrina, a guitar, a tequila bottle and a pair of maracas spin on a 5x3 grid with 30 paylines, in a candle-lit Mexican plaza covered in marigolds and papel picado. Amigo Gaming rates the game high volatility with a maximum multiplier of x1,400. Stakes run from 0.30 to 180 per spin.

Three Skulls, Three Bonuses

The title refers to the three sugar skulls that sit above the reels. Each one is a separate collector in Amigo Gaming’s Pile Collector system, and each unlocks its own feature:

• Green skull – FREE GAMES
• Red skull – PICK’EM, a pick game
• Blue skull – PIN WIN, a hold-and-respin coin round

The skulls glow in their own colours and light up as the collector fills. The studio sums it up: the spirits bring “more than mystery with the Pile Collector, unlocking Free Games, Pin Win and Pick Game bonuses”.

The Paytable

At a €60 bet the paytable lists these values for five, four and three of a kind:

• Catrina: €2,400 / €600 / €120 – 40x, 10x and 2x the bet
• Guitar: €1,800 / €240 / €60 – 30x, 4x and 1x
• Tequila bottle: €600 / €120 / €30 – 10x, 2x and 0.5x
• Maracas: €600 / €120 / €30 – the same as the bottle
• A and K: €120 / €60 / €20 – 2x, 1x and one third of the bet

Q and J complete the low end of the table. The guitar is the interesting one: its five-of-a-kind prize is close to the Catrina’s, but its four-of-a-kind pays less than half as much. The wild is a sugar skull with a purple WILD banner.

What Our Spins Showed

We started at a €90 stake. A spin with Qs across the top two rows paid €60 on four lines, and a run of blue Js paid €75 on five lines – small wins, as the low symbols pay only fractions of the bet.

The best line win in the base game came from the maracas: four of them on one line, with the wild on the middle reel filling the gap, paid €180. Four maracas are worth 2x the bet, and 2 x €90 is exactly €180, so the table and the result agree.

The Wild

The wild is a sugar skull with roses and a purple WILD ribbon. It substitutes for the paying symbols on the lines, and in our session it did its job exactly where it was needed – on the middle reel, bridging two maracas on the left with a third and fourth on the right.

A Note on Volatility

The balance readings in our screenshots tell the story of a high-volatility base game. At the €90 stake the balance went from €8,920 to €8,395 and then to €7,750 over the spins we captured, even though almost every screenshot shows a win – €60, €75, €180. The small line wins keep the reels busy, but they do not cover a €90 stake on their own. The value is concentrated in the three bonuses, and the gap between them is large: a Pin Win that lands the ULTRA is worth 1,000x, while our own round paid 17x.

Buying the Bonus

The Buy Your Bonus screen offers a single option, the Random Bonus, shown with three coins in green, red and blue – one for each skull. At a €60 bet it costs €5,880, which is 98x the stake. The name is literal: you pay for a bonus, and the game decides which of the three it will be. The balance confirms the purchase: €7,240 before, €1,360 after.

Our Random Bonus: Pin Win

After the purchase three bonus symbols in pink frames landed on the reels and turned into skull coins. The one that mattered was the blue skull coin on the middle reel – the Pin Win.

The Pin Win round replaces the symbols with marigold flowers carrying cash values: €300, €120 and €60 in our round. The board then moves to a night scene with the flowers locked in place, and a glowing marigold above the grid keeps count of the round. Above the grid are four prizes, shown at the €60 stake:

• ULTRA: €60,000 – 1,000x
• MAX: €18,000 – 300x
• MID: €6,000 – 100x
• MIN: €3,000 – 50x

Our round finished at €1,020 – 17x the stake. The next screenshot shows the balance at €2,380, which is exactly €1,360 plus €1,020. So our 98x bonus returned 17x: the Random Bonus guarantees a feature, not a profit, and the three bonuses are clearly not worth the same.

Where the 1,400x Comes From

The Pin Win ladder explains the ceiling. The ULTRA prize alone is 1,000x, and the flowers on the board add their own values on top – a full or nearly full board with the ULTRA is how the game reaches its x1,400 maximum. In the base game the best a single line can do is the Catrina’s 40x.

Graphics and Setting

This is one of Amigo Gaming’s most colourful games. The plaza is lit by dozens of candles, orange marigolds frame the reels, and strings of flags cross the sky above a fountain. The symbols are drawn with Day of the Dead patterns: the Catrina has floral face paint and roses in her hair, and the guitar and maracas carry painted skulls. The Pin Win swaps to a deep blue night version of the same plaza, with the marigolds glowing.

The Sister Game

3 Totem Animals, released a few days earlier, runs on the same system: three collectors above the reels for Free Games, Pick’Em and Pin Win, a Random Bonus buy and the same 1,000x / 300x / 100x / 50x Pin Win ladder, also capped at x1,400. The differences are the setting – the African savanna instead of a Mexican fiesta – 25 lines instead of 30, and a cheaper bonus buy.
