777 – Devil's Deal Overview

777 – Devil’s Deal is a three-reel classic slot from RetroGaming, the retro studio of the Spinomenal group, released on 22 July 2024. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 5 fixed paylines, and its one extra is the Retro Xtreme mode, which raises the value of the top symbol.

All figures below come from our demo session at a total bet of 50, which is a line bet of 10.

A Bar Run by the Devil

The game is set in a dim, red-lit bar, with a neon sign glowing on the back wall. The reels burn with flames at the edges, and the symbols belong on a gambling table: a black eight-ball, a fan of playing cards, green dice, gold BAR plates, flaming red triple sevens and a grinning devil with a cigar.

The Paytable

Wins pay for three of a kind on a line, from left to right, and are multiplied by the bet per line. The devil pays 150x the line bet and the green dice 120x. The cards and the single, double and triple BAR symbols pay 40x each, and the eight-ball pays 20x.

The flaming 777 is the top symbol. The paytable page we captured did not show it, but the screen did: three sevens on a line paid 3,000 at our line bet of 10, which is 300x the line bet.

Divided by the five lines, the table is easy to read against the total bet: the devil line is worth 30x, the dice line 24x, the cards and BARs 8x, the eight-balls 4x and a line of sevens 60x.

Three Rows and Two Diagonals

With nine positions on screen, the five lines are simple. Three run straight across the rows – line 2 along the top and line 3 along the bottom, as our wins showed – and two cut across the grid as diagonals. Line 5 runs from the bottom-left corner up to the top-right, which is where our sevens landed. Only the highest win on each line is paid.

Our Wins, Line by Line

Every win in our captures matched the table. Three eight-balls on the top row paid 200 (20 × 10), and three triple BARs on the same line paid 400. Green dice along the bottom row returned 1,200 – 24x the total bet.

The best spin came from the sevens. Three flaming 777s landed on a diagonal and paid 3,000, which is 60x the total bet from a single line. The balance moved from 4,850 at the start of our captures to 8,050 after that spin.

Retro Bet and Retro Xtreme

The Retro Bet switch in the top-left corner turns on Retro Xtreme. SlotCatalog says it costs the same as the regular bet, so it doubles your stake, and that in return the top symbol’s multiplier rises “from x300 to a scorching x3000”. The rules add that payouts are always paid on the original total bet, without the cost of the Retro Bet.

That makes the mode easy to judge. With it off, three sevens pay 300x the line bet, as in our session. With it on, the same line would pay ten times as much. A full screen of sevens on all five lines would, by our own calculation, come to 3,000x the total bet – but neither Spinomenal nor SlotCatalog publishes a maximum win for the game, so we leave that field open.

The same rule works the other way for ordinary wins. Because they stay on the original bet, an eight-ball line that covers 4x at the normal stake covers only 2x of your real spend with Retro Bet on, and the devil line drops from 30x to 15x.

Return to Player

Spinomenal lists four RTP versions: 88.87–88.88%, 91.62–92.03%, 93.50–94.92% and 95.82–96.55%. The operator decides which one runs, so check the info screen. No volatility rating is published anywhere we looked.

How the Session Went

In the order we played, the balance stood at 4,850 after the eight-ball line, 4,900 after the BAR line and 3,750 a few minutes later, when the dice line paid 1,200. Then the sevens landed, and the balance jumped to 8,050.

Controls

The Retro Bet switch sits in the top-left corner, the help, turbo and sound buttons run down the left side, and the spin button and bet menu are on the right. The rules add that all wins in a round appear in the WIN field and that the help and settings buttons are disabled during a spin.

Who Should Play It

777 – Devil’s Deal is a short, readable classic. There are no free spins or bonus rounds; the game lives on five lines, a clear paytable and the choice of whether to pay double for Retro Xtreme.
