Acrobats Overview

Acrobats is a circus-themed slot from KA Gaming, released on 12 July 2023. It plays on a classic 5x3 grid with 243 ways to win, and SlotCatalog lists a 96% RTP (the game comes in several RTP versions), high volatility and a maximum win of 3,564x the bet. Stakes run from 0.25 to 125 per spin.

Under the Big Top

The reels hang in the middle of a circus stage framed by red velvet curtains, with a string of coloured lights running along the top. A clown in a purple hat stands to the left of the reels and a ballerina in pink to the right, and the audience is sketched in silhouette behind them. The symbols are the performers themselves – a contortionist on a red stool, a juggler, a unicyclist, an acrobat in red, a lady in a green dress – plus a potted flower as the top symbol and four card suits as the low pays.

The Paytable

At the maximum $125 stake, the paytable shows these values for five, four and three of a kind:

  • Potted flower: $2,500 / $750 / $250 – 20x, 6x and 2x the bet
  • Acrobat in red: $750 / $300 / $150
  • Juggler: $400 / $200 / $100
  • Unicyclist and contortionist: $200 / $100 / $50
  • Lady in green, club and heart: $100 / $50 / $25
  • Diamond and spade: $60 / $30 / $15

With 243 ways, these values are paid per way, so a symbol that lands twice on one reel doubles the number of ways and the payout.

How 243 Ways Work Here

Every reel has three positions, and a win counts on any path that touches adjacent reels from the left: 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 = 243 ways. What matters in practice is how many copies of a symbol land on each reel. One juggler on the first reel and two on the second already make two ways; add a full wild on the middle reel and each of those ways extends through all three positions of the third reel.

That is why the middle-reel wild is the key symbol in Acrobats. It is the only reel where the clown appears in full height, so any symbol that lands on the first two reels can continue through it. A premium symbol stacked on the first reels together with the wild turns one ordinary hit into several ways at once.

Scaling the Paytable

All values in the paytable scale with the stake. At the $125 maximum, five potted flowers pay $2,500; at the $0.25 minimum the same combination pays $5 – the ratio of 20x the bet stays the same. The card suits are the weakest symbols at 0.48x for five diamonds or spades, while the lady in green pays the same as the club and heart.

The Wild Clown on the Unicycle

The wild is a clown in a yellow suit riding a high unicycle. He stands tall on the middle reel, filling it from top to bottom with a WILD banner underneath, and substitutes for the paying symbols on every way through that reel. SlotCatalog lists expanding symbols and random additional wilds among the features, and one of our screenshots shows the clown riding across a tightrope under a spotlight with the message “Good Luck” – the moment the extra wilds arrive.

Scatters and Free Spins

The scatter is a performer standing in front of a throwing target, marked SCATTER. SlotCatalog lists free spins with a free-spins multiplier, so the bonus round both adds spins and raises the value of each win. The free spins round is not shown in our screenshots.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at the full $125 stake, and the ways maths checks out against the paytable:

  • Two contortionist ways paid $100 – exactly 2 x $50 for three of a kind.
  • With the wild on the middle reel, two juggler ways paid $200 – 2 x $100.
  • The biggest win in our session was $600, about 4.8x the stake, again with the wild clown standing on the middle reel.

These are modest hits for a high-volatility game; the 3,564x ceiling depends on the extra wilds and the free-spins multiplier.

Controls

The control bar is simple: a win display, the total bet, a New Bet button to change the stake, a large spin button (hold it for autoplay), a Max Bet shortcut and the balance. The demo starts with a balance of $100,000.

Who It Is For

Acrobats is for players who like a clear, classic 243-ways layout with a strong theme. The paytable is easy to read, the wild on the middle reel makes every spin a chance for several ways at once, and the free spins with a multiplier give the game its high-volatility edge.
