Amun's Book 6 Overview

Amun’s Book 6 is an Egyptian book slot from Zeus Play, released on 25 July 2024. As the name suggests, it adds a sixth reel to the familiar book formula: the game plays on 6 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines, and a single book symbol does double duty as the Wild and the free spins trigger. Inside the Tomb

The reels are set into the stone wall of a torch-lit tomb, with the gold Amun’s Book 6 logo burning at the top. The premium symbols are an explorer in a brown hat, a golden pharaoh mask, a blue scarab and the winged goddess Isis; the lower symbols are stylised hieroglyphs carved in gold, red and blue.

Zeus Play describes the idea in a line: “Look for the Amun’s Book hidden within the tombs: it’s the Wild symbol which brings unprecedented winnings!” In the free spins the scene changes to a golden temple hall, which makes the start of the feature easy to spot.

The Paytable

With six reels, every symbol has a six-of-a-kind prize, and that is where the big numbers sit. At $20, six explorers on a line pay $15,000 – 750x the bet – while five pay $5,000, four $1,000, three $100 and two $10.

The pharaoh mask pays $5,000, $2,000, $400, $40 and $4 for six down to two. The scarab and Isis share a line of $2,000, $750, $100, $30 and $4, and the top hieroglyph pays $750 for six, $150 for five, $40 for four and $4 for three. The explorer, the mask, the scarab and Isis all pay for just two symbols, which keeps small wins coming in the base game.

The rules are the classic ones: wins pay from left to right starting from the leftmost reel, only the highest win on each line is paid, and scatter wins are added to the line wins.

The Book: Wild and Scatter

The book is the key symbol. On the reels it acts as the Wild, standing in for other symbols to complete lines, and when enough of them land together it opens the free spins. On one of our base-game spins, two Isis symbols on reels 1 and 2 were joined by a book marked WILD on reel 3, and the spin paid $34.00. On another, four books landed across the grid and the win field showed $32.82 just before the feature started.

Free Spins with an Expanding Symbol

The feature follows the book-slot pattern. Our trigger awarded 10 free spins, and the rules explain what happens next: “When triggered, a special symbol is randomly drawn. Special symbol expands on reel and pays on any position on a payline.”

In our round the special symbol was Isis. With seven free spins left she filled two reels on the right-hand side of the grid, and the win field read $156.00. Two spins later she expanded on reels 1, 2 and 4, and the spin paid $300.00 – exactly three Isis symbols on all 10 lines, at $30 each.

That second spin shows why the expanding symbol matters so much. A full reel counts on every line, so three expanded reels pay the three-of-a-kind prize ten times over, even when the symbols in between are scattered.

Why the Sixth Reel Matters

The extra reel changes the maths of the expanding symbol. In a five-reel book slot the best free spin outcome is five expanded reels; here it is six, and six-of-a-kind prizes are far larger than five: the explorer jumps from $5,000 to $15,000 at our bet. Neither Zeus Play nor SlotCatalog publishes a maximum win, so we do not give one, but the six-reel explorer prize is the clearest pointer to where the top of the game sits.

What the Session Did

Over the session the balance moved between $4,960 and $5,644 on the $20 stake. The base game produced small line wins, the books opened the feature, and the free spins with Isis as the special symbol brought the best results in our captures.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 95.15% return is a little below the market average, and the medium-high volatility fits the book formula: long stretches of modest wins, with the expanding symbol in the free spins as the main source of larger payouts. The 750x six-explorer line is the headline prize of the paytable.
