Baba Yaga Tales 2 is a dark Slavic folklore slot from Spinomenal, released on 5 April 2026 as the sequel to Baba Yaga Tales. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 50 paylines, returns 95.73%, and takes bets from 0.50 to 50. Four legendary characters from the old tales each stand for a different free spins mode, and stacked symbols, wilds and a feature buy complete the package. Into The Witch’s ForestThe reels are framed by a rustic wooden hut with a thatched roof, dried herbs and small pink flowers hanging above the grid. The setting is dark and moody, with a stormy forest behind the cabin. A banner at the top shows the game’s name or announces the next free spins mode, and a small badge on the right shows the 50 lines. The premium symbols are the heroes and villains of Slavic folklore, painted as tall portraits that often fill whole reels: Morozko, the white-bearded frost spirit with a glowing staff; Zmey Gorynych, the three-headed fire dragon; Rusalka, a mysterious water maiden with golden hair; and Baba Yaga herself, a grinning witch in a red headscarf. Her famous hut on chicken legs also appears. The low symbols are A, K, Q, J and 10 in carved wooden letters. The wild is a golden sun with a face, and the scatter is a full moon marked Free Spins. Stacked Characters And WildsWith four rows and 50 lines, stacked symbols are what make this game tick. At a bet of 500 – 10 per line – a full stack of Zmey Gorynych on the second reel, joined by sun wilds on the first and third, paid 1,500, or 3x the bet, in a shower of gold coins. At a bet of 100 – 2 per line – the dragon stacked over the third and fourth reels next to a wild on the first paid 840, 8.4x the bet. In another spin a green glow ran over two middle reels next to two sun wilds, and the win was 560. When the same character fills several neighbouring reels, almost all 50 lines pay at once. Four Characters, Four Free Spins ModesThe full moon scatters trigger the free spins – one of our screenshots shows four moons on the second to fifth reels. The game then opens an old map with the four characters placed on it, each with a label for their mode, and a Start button. Zmey Gorynych stands for Extra Wilds, and the other three – Baba Yaga, Morozko and Rusalka – offer different twists. The banner above the reels in the base game hints at what comes next. Our screenshots show it reading “Next free spins mode: Winning symbols respin” and, later, “Next free spins mode: Extra wilds”. The feature list also mentions nudges, sticky symbols, random wilds and multipliers, which fit the different modes. Free Spins In ActionOur free spins screenshot shows the round in full swing. The background turned into a warm, glowing red, the wild changed into a golden crown marked WILD, and several crowns landed across the grid together with Morozko, Rusalka and the dragon. That spin paid 510, the round total stood at 870 at a bet of 100, and 4 free spins were left. A small dragon icon appeared in the top right corner, which suggests Zmey Gorynych’s mode was the one in play. Buy FeatureThe Buy Feature window offers to “Trigger 12 free spins with an extra wild feature”. At a bet of 100 the price is 3,600, or 36x the bet – one of the cheaper feature buys around, although the mode is fixed to extra wilds rather than one of the other characters. The Next Mode BannerThe banner above the reels is one of the game’s smartest touches: it announces the next free spins mode while you are still playing the base game. Between our screenshots it switched from winning symbols respin to extra wilds, so the upcoming mode changes during play. That gives a little extra tension to every scatter that lands: two moons on the reels feel different when you know the dragon’s extra wilds are waiting. Lines And Bet SizeWith 50 fixed lines, the per-line control sets the stake on each line: 10 per line means a total bet of 500, and 2 per line a total bet of 100 – the two levels used in our screenshots. The full range runs from 0.50 to 50 in total, so the smallest stake is just one cent per line. Because the lines are fixed, a bigger per-line stake simply scales every win and the buy price by the same amount. Characters From Slavic FolkloreThe cast gives the game its personality. Baba Yaga is the famous forest witch who lives in a hut on chicken legs, Morozko is the frost spirit of Russian winter tales, Zmey Gorynych is the many-headed dragon fought by heroes, and Rusalka is the water spirit of rivers and lakes. Spinomenal uses these figures as more than decoration: each of them unlocks its own way to play the free spins, which gives the bonus much more variety than a single fixed round. A Growing SeriesBaba Yaga has become a recurring theme for Spinomenal. Besides the original Baba Yaga Tales, the casinos we checked carry a Haunted House edition, 1 Reel Baba Yaga and Book of Baba Yaga Tales 2. This sequel stands out with its choice of four character modes and its large 50-line grid. Who It Is ForBaba Yaga Tales 2 is for players who like dark fairy tale themes and free spins with real variety. The stacked portraits make big line hits possible, the rotating free spins modes keep the bonus fresh, and the 36x buy is affordable. Spinomenal has not published a volatility rating or maximum win for this title in the sources we checked, so the rules screen at your casino is the place to look.
