How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Bizarre Barber Overview

Bizarre Barber is a compact three-reel slot from KA Gaming, released on 18 September 2024. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 5 fixed lines, and the published bet range runs from $0.25 to $100 per spin. The fruit-machine symbols are classic, but the setting is not: the reels sit in a gloomy Victorian barbershop, and the wild is a pale, grinning barber who looks as if he stepped out of a horror story. The game is built in HTML5 and weighs only 7.9 MB, so it loads quickly on a phone as well as on a desktop.

KA Gaming offers this game at RTP settings from 82% to 98%, chosen by the casino; our data box shows 96%. No volatility rating or maximum win is published. The figures below come from our own demo session, played at a $500 total bet.

A Barbershop After Dark

The grid stands in a dim room lit by a single table lamp, with splashes of red on the walls and an old cabinet in the shadows. The frame is ornate, green and gold, with the game’s title in gothic lettering across the top. Two round counters flank the reels: RESPINS on the left and MULTIPLIER on the right, each above a small “5 LINES” label.

The symbols are drawn cleanly on pale tiles: oranges, lemons, apples, grapes, cherries, a golden bell, a red lucky 7 and a steel straight razor, plus the barber himself as the wild.

The Paytable

Every win needs three matching symbols on a line, and the paytable prints the prizes in cash for the current bet. At a $500 total bet it reads:

  • Wild – $5,000 (10x the bet)
  • Razor – $2,500 (5x)
  • 7 – $2,000 (4x)
  • Apple – $1,500 (3x)
  • Orange – $1,000 (2x)
  • Lemon – $500 (1x)
  • Grapes – $300, cherries – $200, bell – $100

Three wilds on a line are the best hit on the table at 10x. The fruit at the bottom pays less than the stake, which is typical of a five-line game where several lines can win on the same spin.

The Five Lines

The rules screen shows the lines with coloured diagrams. Line 1 runs across the middle row, line 2 across the bottom and line 3 across the top. Lines 4 and 5 are the two diagonals, crossing in the centre square. That makes the middle position the most valuable spot on the grid: it belongs to three of the five lines at once.

How the Wild Works

The barber substitutes for the fruit and the other symbols to complete a line, and he pays the value of the symbol he replaces rather than a bonus of his own. In one of our spins two wilds on the top row framed a single lemon, and line 3 paid exactly $500 – the lemon prize. In another, a wild in the centre joined a grape in the top-left corner and another in the bottom-right, and the diagonal line 4 paid $300.

Because the centre square sits on three lines, a wild there is the moment the game is built around.

Respins and the Multiplier

KA Gaming lists respins, random multipliers and random extra wilds among the game’s features. The two counters beside the reels track them. In most of our captures the respin counter showed 0 and the multiplier stood at 1, but during our best round the multiplier counter read 3, and the win line was marked “LINE 4 WINS $3000.00 (3X)”.

That spin had an orange in the top-left corner and wilds in the centre and bottom-right, so the diagonal paid the $1,000 orange prize three times over. The paytable screens we captured do not explain exactly what triggers the multiplier, so we describe only what the counters showed.

What the Session Did

Our first capture landed three oranges across the top row for $1,000, taking the balance to $100,386. A later spin combined two lines for $1,300, with the $1,000 orange diagonal again completed by a centre wild.

The highlight was the multiplied round: the $3,000 diagonal plus further line wins added up to a HUGE WIN of $3,900, or 7.8x the $500 bet. That is a good illustration of the game’s shape – single lines pay modestly, but a wild in the middle and a multiplier on top can stack several of them into a real win.

Who Should Play It

Bizarre Barber suits players who like three-reel fruit machines and want every rule on one screen. There are only nine positions, five lines and one special symbol to follow, and the controls are a plain spin button with an auto-play option and a MAX BET shortcut.

The dark barbershop gives it more character than most classic slots. Just keep in mind that the RTP depends on the casino’s setting (82–98%), so the demo above is the best way to judge how it plays before you stake real money.
