Buffalo on Fire!

Buffalo on Fire! Overview

Buffalo on Fire! is a Wild West slot from Red Rake, released on 27 April 2023. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 1,024 ways, and wins pay only from left to right. SlotCatalog lists a 95.30% RTP, medium-high volatility, a 38.4% hit frequency and a top win of 41,620x, with bets from 0.10 to 10.

The Paytable

The paytable shows cash values for the current stake. At a $3 total bet:

• golden buffalo – $12 / $7.20 / $4.80, and even two pay $3
• brown buffalo – $6 / $3.60 / $2.40, two pay $1.50
• eagle and bear – $4.50 / $3 / $1.80
• cougar and coyote – $3 / $2.10 / $1.20
• A, K, Q – $2.40 / $1.50 / $0.90; J, 10, 9 – $1.50 / $0.90 / $0.60

The golden buffalo five is therefore 4x the total bet. If a way pays more than one win, only the highest is paid.

Wilds

The Wild appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and it comes in plain, x2 and x3 versions. All of them substitute for every symbol except the Bonus.

The Animal Meter

A tall meter on the left of the reels lists five animals with a target number next to each: 30 for the eagle, 60 for the bear, 120 for the cougar, 200 for the coyote and 300 for the golden buffalo. According to the published description, reaching these values during free spins converts that animal into buffalo for the rest of the feature.

Burning Run and Free Spins

The published description also covers the Buffalo Burning Run, which can drop 6 to 20 extra buffalo onto the reels at random, and the free spins, which start with a coin-collecting respin round and then award 10, 15 or 20 spins for 3, 4 or 5 scatters.

More From the Bonus

The published description adds a few details. During the coin round only coin symbols appear, every new coin sticks and resets the respin counter to 3, and the round lasts until all positions are filled or the respins run out. Inside the free spins, 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatters award extra spins, and when several multiplier Wilds join the same win their values are combined.

Who It Is For

Buffalo on Fire! suits players who like ways slots with a long-term goal inside the bonus. The meter gives the free spins a clear direction, and the multiplier wilds keep base-game wins interesting.
