Theme and Graphics

The reels are set into the gateway of a Chinese temple in autumn: stone steps leading up to it, red-lacquered columns with gold dragons coiled around them, a tiled roof above, and maple leaves falling across the whole screen.

The game’s real centrepiece is off the board entirely. A huge green-and-gold dragon rests its head against the left edge of the screen, jaws open, with its body looping back around the right-hand side – so the reels sit inside the coil of the creature the title names.

The symbols are a red dragon mask, a gold coin, a koi carp and the card ranks rendered as painted tiles.

What the Symbols Pay

At the 200.00 bet the dragon mask pays 10,000.00 for five, 3,000.00 for four and 800.00 for three – 50x the stake, and comfortably the top of the table.

The gold coin returns 3,000.00 for five (15x) and the koi 2,000.00 (10x). Below them the card ranks are nominal: A and K pay 400.00 for five (2x), Q and J 200.00 – exactly the stake back.

Set the best line against the ceiling and the arithmetic is clear: five dragons are 50x and the published maximum is 1,350x, twenty-seven times higher. No single combination gets close, so everything depends on the cascade ladder.

The Multiplier Ladder

This is the mechanic, and it sits in plain sight along the top of the reels: five numbered steps reading x2, x4, x6, x8 and x10, one above each column.

The game cascades – winning symbols are removed and new ones drop in – and each consecutive cascade lights the next step. The captures catch the x2 step lit in orange on a first cascade, with the remaining four still dark.

So a chain that keeps paying multiplies itself: a fifth consecutive cascade is worth ten times what the same board would pay on its own. Five dragons at 50x, landing on that final step, is the 500x mark – and a longer chain of smaller wins is how the 1,350x ceiling is actually approached.

Twenty Betways, Not Paylines

The datasheet says betways rather than lines, and on a 5×3 board that matters: positions pay by adjacency from the leftmost reel, so where a symbol sits in its column is irrelevant as long as the column is covered.

Combined with cascading, that makes a chain much easier to sustain than a payline game would. A cascade only has to refill one column usefully for the run to continue, rather than landing symbols on a specific track through the grid.

It also explains why the ladder tops out at the fifth step. Five reels, five cascades, five multipliers – the progression is built around the width of the board.

The Wild Counts Three Times

The rules panel carries a line that is easy to skim past and genuinely unusual: “Wild symbols may appear in winning combinations up to 3 times in one spin.”

The wild itself is Caishen, the god of wealth, with a small 3 badge in the corner of the symbol – the game counting down how many combinations it has left to join.

Most slots let a wild feed every line that crosses it. Here it is capped, which puts a hard limit on what a single well-placed wild can be worth, and explains why the ladder rather than the wild is the star of the game.

The Scatters

The scatter is a gold plate marked SCATTER, and one capture catches four of them across the middle row at once, the whole band lit.
