How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Cantonese Fried Noodles Overview

Cantonese Fried Noodles is a food-themed video slot from KA Gaming, released on 14 June 2023. The game runs on five reels and five rows with 30 fixed paylines, and every symbol on the reels is a dish from a Cantonese kitchen. SlotCatalog lists the game with a 96% RTP; KA Gaming does not publish a volatility rating or a maximum win for it, so we do not quote either.

The Kitchen on the Reels

The reels sit under a red lacquered roof with hanging lanterns, and a cheerful chef with a moustache stands to the right of the grid. The bottom row is framed as a line of bamboo steamers, some with the lid on and some showing an egg bun or a slice of salmon inside. The premium symbols are fried noodles, salmon sashimi, a bowl of soup, siu mai, steamed egg buns, dumplings and spring rolls; the lower tier is the card set A, K, Q and J, drawn in green and gold.

The Paytable

Our screenshots were taken at a total bet of $15, which is $0.50 per line across the 30 lines. At that stake the paytable reads:

  • Fried noodles: $300 for five, $50 for four, $15 for three. Five noodles on one line is 20 times the total bet.
  • Salmon sashimi: $150 / $25 / $10.
  • Soup: $100 / $15 / $7.50.
  • Siu mai: $75 / $12.50 / $6; egg buns: $50 / $12.50 / $6.
  • Dumplings: $40 / $10 / $5; spring rolls: $35 / $10 / $5.
  • A and K: $30 or $25 for five; Q and J: $25 and $15 for five.

Expanding Wilds

The wild is a tall green panel marked WILD with a pile of golden noodles at its base, and it covers a full reel. SlotCatalog describes it as an expanding wild that can appear on any reel. In one of our spins two wild reels stood side by side on reels 4 and 5, and the Qs on the left of the grid connected across them: the display showed line 14 winning $20, and the spin paid $60 in total, four times the stake.

Smaller Wins

Most spins in our session paid far less. A pair of spring-roll combinations on line 3 and another line brought $10, and several spins ended with no win at all. With 30 lines and a paytable where even the top symbol pays 20x for a full line, the base game relies on the expanding wilds to lift a spin into double digits.

Controls

The control bar follows the usual KA Gaming layout: a New Bet button to change the stake, the round spin button (hold it for autospin), and a Max Bet shortcut. The balance and the win for the last spin are always visible under the reels.

Who It Is For

Cantonese Fried Noodles suits players who like a light, colourful theme and a straightforward line slot. There are no complicated side features to learn: the paytable, the 30 lines and the full-reel wilds are the whole game. You can try the free demo on the left before playing for real money.
