Catdiana Overview

A Temple Guarded by Stone Cats

The reels are set between two carved stone pillars, each topped with a crouching grey cat statue. The walls behind them are covered in Egyptian-style carvings, and the frame above the reels holds the Catdiana logo in gold, with a fedora perched on the letter C.

When the free spins begin, the scene changes. The temple doors open onto a golden chamber, piles of gold coins spill across the floor, and a mummified cat peers in from the left edge of the screen.

The symbols follow the theme. The premiums are a pink jewel in a gold frame, a gold Anubis-style cat mask, a green emerald amulet with a cat’s head, and the explorer’s fedora and whip. The low symbols are the letters A, K, Q and J, carved in coloured stone.

The pink jewel pays 500 for five, 250 for four and 25 for three. The cat mask pays 400, 150 and 20, the emerald amulet 300, 100 and 15, and the fedora 200, 50 and 10.

The four letters all pay the same for five and four, at 50 and 20. For three, A pays 10, while K, Q and J pay 5.

The jump from four to five is large for the premiums. The jewel doubles from 250 to 500, and the fedora quadruples from 50 to 200, so a fifth symbol on the line matters more here than in most 25-line games.

The ladder also rewards the premiums far more than the letters. A five of the pink jewel is worth ten times a five of any letter, and even the fedora, the weakest premium, pays four times as much as the best letter for five of a kind. With 25 lines on a 5x3 grid, most spins land a few letter wins; it is the premiums that make a spin worth remembering.

The Explorer Wild

The Wild is the hero himself, the cat in a hat holding a torch. On its own it takes up a single position, but it can expand to fill the whole reel, and in our captures it did so often. One spin showed the explorer covering reels 1 and 2, another reels 2 and 5, and another three full reels at once. Every expanded wild takes part in all the lines that cross its reel, so two or three of them together can produce a spider’s web of paying lines.

One of those spins paid 72.00 (7.2x), and another paid 120.00 on a single line and 142.00 in total.

The expanding wild is also what makes the paylines diagram worth a look. The 25 lines are a mix of straight rows, Vs and zigzags, and every one of them passes through each reel, so a full wild reel touches all 25 lines at once. Coins and Jackpots

Catdiana also has a Coin symbol, a gold disc carrying a cash value. The coins we saw were worth 10.00, 20.00, 30.00 and 40.00 at the 10.00 bet, so each is worth between 1x and 4x.

When enough coins land, they start a respin round in which only coins remain on the grid. In our capture, the board filled with 13 coins, from 10.00 to 40.00 each, and the round paid 230.00 (23x).

Three fixed jackpots sit above the reels at the 10.00 bet: MINI 300.00 (30x), MAJOR 1,000.00 (100x) and a MEGA JACKPOT of 10,000.00, which works out at 1,000x. The coin round is also the most visual part of the game. The ordinary symbols vanish and only the gold discs remain. In our capture, the thirteen coin values add up to exactly 230.00, the amount the round paid, so the prize is simply the sum of the discs on the board.
