How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Clover Queen Overview

Clover Queen is a lucky-clover slot from CT Interactive. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 fixed paylines, and it combines a classic fruit paytable with a green-haired queen who appears as a giant 3x3 wild and a free games round with a multiplier.

CT Interactive’s games library dates the release to 30 June 2024; SlotCatalog gives 1 July. Both sources give a maximum win of 1,000x the total bet, and SlotCatalog rates the volatility medium-high. No RTP is published for the game, so we leave that field open. The numbers below come from our own demo session, played at a line bet of 0.50 – a total bet of 10.00 FUN.

A Forest of Luck

The reels sit in a purple frame surrounded by blurred green clover leaves. The logo at the top spells out CLOVER QUEEN in gold, and the line count, 20, is printed down both sides of the grid with the words LINES and FIXED.

The symbols are a lucky set: a golden clover coin, a golden bell, apples, peaches, plums and cherries, plus a four-leaf clover and the queen herself – a red-haired woman in green with a clover on her dress.

The Paytable

The paytable is printed in cash for the line bet. At 0.50 per line:

  • Clover coin and bell: 50.00 for five, 7.50 for four, 3.50 for three – five on a line are worth 100x the line bet, or 5x the total bet.
  • Apple and peach: 25.00 / 5.00 / 3.00.
  • Plum and cherries: 12.50 / 3.50 / 2.00.

The jump from four to five of a kind is steep – the coin and the bell pay almost seven times more for five than for four – so full lines matter much more than partial ones.

The Queen and the Clover

The queen is the wild, and the rules place her on the middle reels only. In our captures she arrived as a single 3x3 block covering reels 2, 3 and 4, turning the whole centre of the grid into wilds. SlotCatalog lists this as a Mega Symbol.

The four-leaf clover is the bonus symbol. The rules say it appears on the first reel only and does not appear during the free games. The banner above the reels explains the trigger in pictures: clover plus queen equals 12 FREE GAMES.

The Base Game

Outside the feature the game plays like a traditional fruit machine. In our first capture the reels were full of cherries and plums, with a single bell and peach on the bottom row and a clover coin on reel 5, and the spin paid 12.50 – 1.25x the total bet – from a handful of short fruit lines.

The cash field stayed between about 99,600 and 99,812 FUN across our captures, which fits a short session close to break-even until the free games arrived. Small wins like these are also the ones the double up is offered on, since it only applies to wins below ten times the bet.

The Trigger Spin

We captured the spin that started the round. The queen landed as a full 3x3 block across reels 2, 3 and 4, a clover sat on reel 1 between an apple and a clover coin, and bells and an apple filled reel 5. Even before the free games began, the lines through the wild block paid 142.50 – just over 14x the total bet – and a large FREE GAMES title then filled the screen.

That spin shows how the game is built: the queen is both the wild that makes the lines and half of the trigger, so the best moments tend to come together.

The Free Games

When the clover landed on reel 1 next to the queen, the screen announced “Congratulations! You have won 12 free games”. During the round an x2 badge sat at the left of the control bar, and the wins we captured reflect it: a line of cherries on line 10 appeared in a 22.00 total, and later spins brought the round to 83.50.

The best capture came when the queen’s 3x3 wild filled reels 2 to 4 while bells stood on reel 1 and clover coins on reel 5. Every line through the wild block paid, and the win field showed 589.50 – nearly 59x the total bet. The counter above the reels showed 0 at that point, so this was the last of the twelve free games.

Another free spin showed the wild block across the top two rows of reels 2 to 4, with apples and cherries on the outer reels, and the round total stood at 83.50 by then. Taken together, the captures suggest a round in which most free games pay a little and one or two wild blocks decide the result.

The Paylines

The rules page draws all twenty lines on small red-and-white grids: the three straight rows, V shapes, zig-zags and lines that step up and down across the reels. All twenty are always active, so the only setting you change is the bet. The line numbers down both sides of the grid show which line has paid after each spin.

The Double Up

After a win you can try the double up. The rules limit it to wins of less than 10x the total bet. A card lies face down, and the last ten cards are shown above it: guessing the colour doubles the win (x2), and guessing the suit quadruples it (x4). In our capture a 12.50 win offered 25.00 on colour and 50.00 on suit.

The rules add one practical detail: after a win you have five seconds to press DOUBLE (X2) before the START button turns into CANCEL and play continues. The gamble is therefore always optional, and it is only offered on the smaller wins.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

The 1,000x ceiling is moderate for a 20-line game with a mega wild, and the paytable shows where it comes from: five coins or bells pay 5x the total bet on one line, so the big results need the 3x3 queen to connect many lines at once, ideally during the doubled free games.

Because no RTP is published, players who care about the return should look for it in the game’s info screen at their casino.

Who Should Play It

Clover Queen suits players who like classic fruit slots with one strong feature. The paytable is easy to read, the queen’s wild block is obvious when it lands, and the free games trigger is explained right on the screen.
