Deep Sea Frenzy Overview

Deep Sea Frenzy is an underwater shark slot from Pragmatic Play, released on 5 October 2026. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 50 fixed paylines, and all symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.

The game rules list a theoretical RTP of 96.52%, and the same rate applies with the Ante Bet and the Buy Feature. Some casinos may run lower versions of 95.51% or 94.51%. The volatility is medium, and the maximum win is 16,000x the bet. Bets range from 0.25 to 250 per spin, or up to 400 with the Ante Bet.

The game is built around a Money and Collect mechanic. Shark Money symbols on reels 1 to 4 are collected by special Collect symbols on reel 5, and a big enough collection starts the Free Spins round, where the shark values grow with every spin.

Theme and Graphics

The reels float on a deep blue seabed with glowing corals, sea plants and drifting fish. An open treasure chest full of gold coins and pearls lies on the left, and a sunken sailing ship rests on the right. The Deep Sea FRENZY! logo sits above the golden reel frame.

During Free Spins, the water turns purple and violet, and a FRENZY panel next to the reels shows the current value of the shark symbols.

Symbols and Paytable

The premium symbols are a hammerhead shark, a green shark, a red shark, a sunken ship and a treasure chest. The low symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9. At a bet of 250, the paytable shows:

• Hammerhead Shark: 2,000 for five (8x the bet), 600 for four, 100 for three, 30 for two,
• Green Shark and Red Shark: 1,600 each (6.4x), 500, 100 and 20,
• Ship and Treasure Chest: 1,000 each (4x), 400 and 100,
• A and K: 800 for five, 50 for three,
• Q and J: 500 for five, 50 for three,
• 10 and 9: 400 for five, 50 for three.

The three sharks pay for two of a kind, while the other symbols need at least three. Only the highest win is paid on each line, and wins on several lines are added together.

Wild Symbol

The Wild is a golden coin with a kraken on it. It lands only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, and it substitutes for all symbols except the Money symbol. It has no extra powers, such as multipliers or expanding, so its job is simply to complete line wins.

In our screenshots, three Wilds on reels 2, 4 and 5 joined several line wins with kings, queens and ships and paid 676 at a bet of 400 with the Ante Bet active.

Money and Collect Symbols

The Money symbol is a shark head with open jaws. It can appear on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4 and carries a cash value. The Collect symbols are shark heads that land only on reel 5. There are five types: FRENZY, 2X, 3X, 5X and +1 SPIN.

In the base game, the Money symbols pay nothing on their own. Whenever 8 or more Money symbols land together with a Collect symbol on reel 5, the values of all Money symbols on the screen are collected and paid, and the Free Spins round is triggered. If the Collect symbol carries a multiplier, the values are first multiplied by it, and if it shows +1 SPIN, the following round starts with one extra free spin.

In our first screenshot, three Money symbols worth 250 each landed on reel 4 next to a FRENZY Collect symbol – not enough for a collection, while line wins with queens and kings paid 400 at a bet of 400.

Free Spins

The round starts with 5 free spins, or with 6 if it was triggered by a +1 SPIN Collect symbol. Special reels are in play during the feature, and the values of the Money symbols are no longer random. They start at 1x the base bet on the first free spin and rise on every following spin to 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 150x, 175x and finally 200x on the 12th free spin. After that, the value stays at 200x for any further spins.

During the round, any number of Money symbols is collected whenever a Collect symbol lands on reel 5. The multiplier Collect symbols boost the collection, and every +1 SPIN symbol adds another free spin, which also means the shark values keep climbing.

Our screenshots follow one round at a bet of 250. The FRENZY panel showed 250 with four spins left, then 1,250 and 2,500 on the next spins. On the last free spin, the value reached 3,750 – 15x the bet – and five sharks were collected by a +1 SPIN symbol for 18,750, which also added one more spin to the round.

Ante Bet

The Ante Bet raises the bet multiplier from 25x to 40x, so the stake grows by 60% – a base bet of 250 costs 400. In return, only 7 Money symbols plus a Collect symbol are needed to trigger the Free Spins round, and the chance to trigger it is 1.8 times higher. The Buy Feature is disabled while the Ante Bet is on.

Buy Feature and Card Pick

The Buy Feature starts the Free Spins round straight from the base game for 170x the base bet – at a bet of 250 that is 42,500. Before the round begins, you pick one of four golden cards, which reveals the number of free spins:

• Ace of Spades: 8 spins,
• King of Diamonds: 7 spins,
• Queen of Hearts: 6 spins,
• Jack of Clubs: 5 spins.

Since the shark values grow with every spin, the Ace is the best card: eight spins take the Money symbols up to 50x the bet on the final spin.

Maximum Win

The maximum win is limited to 16,000x the bet. If the total win of a Free Spins round reaches this amount, the round ends immediately, the win is paid, and all remaining free spins are lost.
