Devilicious Overview

Devilicious is a devil-themed slot released through Pragmatic Play on 10 June 2024. The reels stand in front of a fiery background, and a devil woman in a red dress with horns and a trident watches from the left. The premium symbols are her portrait, a silver bell, a pink rose, a hand of playing cards and a pair of burning red dice. The low symbols are the card ranks from 9 to A, drawn in gold and purple.

The wild is a pair of red lips marked WILD, and the scatter is a blue devil heart with little horns. Along the top of the screen a row of plaques shows the money-symbol prizes at the current bet.

The rules page draws all 20 paylines on a small grid, from the three straight rows to V shapes and zigzags across the middle row. Below the reels the interface keeps the essentials in view – the credit balance, the bet, an autoplay button and a turbo option that runs while you hold the space bar.

The Paytable

At $240 the devil woman pays $3,000 for five, $600 for four and $300 for three – 12.5x the bet for the top line. The bell and the rose pay $1,800, $360 and $180, the cards and the dice $1,200, $240 and $120, and every card rank pays $600, $120 and $60.

The lips pay on their own as well: $6,000 for five, $1,800 for four and $600 for three. They substitute for every symbol except the scatter and the money symbol. The scatter pays anywhere: $240 for three, $1,200 for four and $24,000 for five – 100x the bet.

Money Symbols and the Jackpot Ladder

The plaques above the reels show what the money symbols pay when enough of them land together. At our bet the ladder read $2,400 for five, $12,000 for six, $24,000 for seven, $60,000 for eight and $240,000 for nine or more – 10x, 50x, 100x, 250x and 1,000x the bet.

The ladder moves with the free spins multiplier. In a round with a 2x multiplier the plaques doubled to $4,800 and $480,000, and later in the same round, with a 3x multiplier on the panel, they read $7,200 and $720,000.

The Wheel and the Free Spins

Our free spins came from four scatters, which paid $1,200 and switched the side panel to FEATURE ACTIVE. The game then showed a wheel with two rings: the outer ring holds the number of free spins – 7, 10, 15 or 20 – and the inner ring the multiplier, 2x or 3x. Our spin landed on 10 free spins with a 2x multiplier.

On the second free spin the game announced “Respin feature awarded”, and the win counter stood at $2,760. By spin 9 the counter showed 13 free spins in total and a 3x multiplier, with the round at $5,640. The rules add a few details that matter in the round. Free spins wins are added to the payline win and awarded when the round completes, and the round total in the history includes the whole win of the cycle. All wins are multiplied by the base bet, only the highest win per line is paid, and wins on different lines are added together.

Ante Bet and Buy Free Spins

Two buttons on the left change the game. Increase chance to win feature raises the bet from $240 to $360 – a 1.5x Ante Bet – and Buy Free Spins costs $24,000, which is 100x the bet. The minimum bet is $0.20 and the maximum $360 with the Ante Bet active.

The two options barely move the return. According to the rules, the Ante Bet lowers the theoretical RTP from 96.46% to 96.43%, while buying free spins raises it slightly to 96.52%. The choice is therefore about pace and risk rather than value: the Ante Bet spends 50% more per spin for more frequent features, and the buy skips the wait at a fixed price of 100 base bets.

What the Session Did

In the base game a spread of lips on reels 1 and 3 with a column of cards paid $840, and another screen showed roses stacked across two reels next to a full column of wilds on reel 1. The free spins carried the session, as they are designed to in a five-bolt game.

The screen with the four scatters is worth a closer look. The hearts landed on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5, with ordinary symbols between them, and the 4x scatter pay of $1,200 was credited before the wheel appeared.
