Dragon Hunter Overview

Dragon Hunter is a fantasy slot from KA Gaming, released on 15 November 2023. A red-and-gold dragon coils around a 5x5 grid with 100 fixed paylines, set in front of an Asian fortress at dusk. The Symbols

The premium symbols are the hunters themselves – a pink-haired swordswoman, a green-clad archer and a blue-robed warrior – together with their weapons: crossed swords, spears and throwing blades, plus a jade pendant. The low end is made up of the familiar A, Q, J, 10 and 9 royals, drawn in coloured metal. The WILD is a burning red tile with the word written across it, and it is the symbol that decides almost everything in this game.

The Dragon's Countdown

The most interesting part of Dragon Hunter sits in the lower-right corner: a round dragon-eye badge with a number in it. Across our screenshots the badge showed 7, 6 and 0. When it read 6, several tiles on the grid had turned dark and scorched, each carrying a small 6 of its own – the same number as the badge. When the badge reached 0, those scorched tiles had become burning WILDs, in some spins covering most of the grid.

Those are the spins that pay. After each fire-filled board the badge was back at 7, so the countdown starts again. SlotCatalog describes the feature as random or additional wilds; the screenshots show how it is presented – as a fire that spreads while the counter runs down, and then turns into wilds all at once.
