Fishing Club Overview

Fishing Club is a casual instant-win game from BGaming, released on 11 June 2024. BGaming calls it the first first-person fishing simulator in iGaming: instead of spinning reels, you cast a rod and win whatever multiplier the fish on the line is worth.

BGaming publishes an RTP of 97.16%, medium-low volatility and a maximum multiplier of x3000. SlotCatalog gives 97.13% and the same x3000 ceiling. The numbers below come from our own demo session.

A Lake Under the Mountains

The whole screen is the view from a wooden jetty. Your hands hold the rod in the foreground, a blue lake stretches out to green hills and rocky peaks, and a rowing boat waits on the shore to the right. When you cast, the line flies out and a fish leaps from the water with its multiplier.

Two cards on the right record your records for the session: Best Win and Best Catch. In our session they stood at 164.00 FUN and x13.67.

The Fish and Their Multipliers

The info screen lists what each fish can pay. The marlin tops the table at x100 or more. Below it come a red snapper at x50–100, a tuna at x40–50, a grey fish at x30–40 and a yellow bream at x20–30.

The middle of the table holds a spiny red fish at x15–20, a purple fish at x10–15, a green-and-orange fish at x5–10 and a blue fish at x4–5. Smaller catches below that return less than the stake.

Five Risk Levels

The column of lures on the left sets the risk level. There are five, marked from one star to five stars: a worm hook, a float, a purple spoon, a hooked fish lure and a feathered fly. The rules explain that a higher risk level increases the chance to win big, and that changing it also changes the minimum bet.

We saw the effect in the total bet. At the lowest level the minimum was 0.60 FUN, while our captures used 12, 16 and 20 FUN at higher levels.

What We Caught

At a 20 FUN bet a small red fish came in at only x0.80 – 16.00 FUN, less than the stake. The multiplier is set by the catch itself, so a big-looking fish does not guarantee a profit.

Our best cast came at a 12 FUN bet: a purple fish at x13.67, worth 164.00 FUN. That fits the x10–15 range the info screen gives for that fish. Over the session the balance moved from 1,000 FUN to 772, 988 and 1,072.

Playing Fast

The bet selector sits at the bottom left next to the balance, and the arrows beside the total bet step through the allowed stakes for the chosen risk level. The i button opens the info screens with the fish table and the risk rules.

Each cast is a single round with an instant result. The spin button casts the rod, holding it starts quick spins, and an A button sets up autoplay. There are no lines, reels or features to follow – only the risk level, the bet and the catch.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 97.16% return is above the market average for casino games, and medium-low volatility means most casts return something close to the stake. The x3000 ceiling sits far above the x100+ marlin, so the top result is rare by design.
