Galactic Bounty Hunter Overview

Galactic Bounty Hunter is a space-themed shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 26 June 2024. Instead of reels you command a small battleship at the bottom of the screen and fire at waves of alien creatures; every enemy you destroy pays a multiple of your shot. Choosing a Room

The game opens on a room selection screen with three ships:

• Bronze: shots from $0.01 to $0.10;
• Silver: $0.10 to $1.00 (the button itself is spelled “Sliver”);
• Gold: $1.00 to $10.00.

The room sets the range of your shot size; within it you adjust the stake with the plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the screen.

The Controls

A short tutorial labels every control. The option menu sits on the left edge. At the bottom right are three buttons: Power Weapon, Auto Fire and Lock Target. Auto Fire keeps the cannon shooting on its own, and Lock Target fixes it on one enemy so that every shot goes where you want it.

When the Power Weapon was active, its button showed a price of $0.60 per shot – six times our basic shot – in exchange for a much stronger blast.

Reading the Screen

Your ship sits at the bottom centre, and the control bar runs along the bottom edge. On the left is your player tag and balance; in the middle the shot size with its plus and minus buttons; on the right the Power, Auto and Lock buttons. Once a target is locked, the Lock button changes to Unlock and shows the enemy you are tracking – a green armoured insect in one of our captures, a golden beetle in another.

The Enemies

The screen fills with a colourful mix of targets: small green flies, green zombie heads, golden beetles, winged golden crests and larger armoured insects. Each enemy carries its own value, and when it goes down the payout floats up from the spot where it was hit.

At intervals the game announces a boss. In our session a “BOSS COMING” banner brought in a large orange cyclops creature inside a triangular frame, with a $2.00 value tag beneath it. Bosses take many hits but pay far more than the small fry.

What the Session Did

We started with a balance of $100,000.00. The first hits added ten cents, and a burst of splash hits on a cluster of beetles took the balance to $100,006.60. A later wave ended in a shower of gold coins, with individual prizes of $0.20, $0.40 and $0.50 floating across the screen, and the balance climbed to $100,016.40.

The coin shower in our last capture came after a larger green armoured creature went down. The coins spilled from the point of impact across the lower right of the screen, and each coin carried its own prize – the game adds them all to the balance, which is how a single hit can pay several times the shot.

Features Listed but Not Seen

SlotCatalog describes a weapon system for fast captures, a chain bomb that clears many enemies at once and a freezing function that briefly stops all enemy movement. We did not trigger the chain bomb or the freeze, so we cannot say how often they appear or what they pay.

Who Should Play It

Galactic Bounty Hunter suits players who want something more active than spinning reels. The three rooms make it easy to start small, and Auto Fire with Lock Target lets you play at your own pace. Players who want published RTP or volatility figures will not find them for this title.
