Gold Mines Overview

Gold Mines is a mines-style instant game from Elbet. You open tiles on a mining grid in search of gold, while hidden sticks of dynamite end the round. SlotCatalog lists it with an RTP of 95%, medium volatility, a maximum win of 2,568x and bets from 0.10 to 100, and dates its release to 7 June 2024.

A Desert Gold Rush

The game is set in a sunlit desert canyon, with a mine entrance lit by a torch on the right and the grid of rock tiles in the middle. Gold nuggets sit under some of the rocks, and red bundles of dynamite under others.

Choose the Valley

Before you start, the game asks you to pick a difficulty: Opulent Valley (easy), Risky Valley (medium) or Death Valley (hard). As the game puts it: “Bigger difficulty, means more dynamite, means chance of bigger payoff!” Elbet’s own page adds that you can play on a 4×4, 4×6 or 4×7 tile field.

Setting Up a Round

The control panel has a Manual and an Autoplay tab. You set the bet – quick buttons run from 0.02 to 4 – and a separate Add More Dynamite control, set to 4 in our session. More dynamite means fewer safe tiles and a higher payout for each gold nugget you find. Then you press Start Game and begin opening rocks.

What the Session Did

On a 4×6 field with four sticks of dynamite and a 16 USD bet, three gold nuggets lifted the cash-out button to 33.28 USD – about 2.08x the bet. Other rounds ended when a rock revealed dynamite, which is how the game signals a loss.

Reading the Odds

The grid makes the risk easy to picture. On the 4×6 field there are 24 rocks; with four sticks of dynamite, 20 of them hide gold. By our own count that makes the first pick safe about 83% of the time, but every nugget you collect leaves fewer safe rocks behind, so each further pick is a little riskier than the one before. That is why the cash-out value climbs faster the longer you keep digging.

Tickets and History

The bottom bar shows your balance, the clock and a ticket field: while a round is running the game displays its ticket number, and between rounds it reads No active ticket. Each dig is logged as its own ticket, which makes it easy to check a result afterwards.

The Gold Mine Jackpot

A progressive Gold Mine Jackpot counter runs above the grid. It stood at 311.52 USD and ticked up to 311.56 USD during our session. The game does not show how the jackpot is won.
