Hot Slot: 777 Crown Extremely Light Overview

Hot Slot: 777 Crown Extremely Light is a classic fruit machine from VoltEnt (Wazdan), released on 19 February 2024. It is a stripped-back edition of the studio’s Hot Slot: 777 Crown, with a 5x3 grid, 20 fixed paylines and nothing on the reels but fruit, sevens and a crown. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96.42% (the game comes in several RTP versions) and a maximum win of 305x the stake, and it marks the volatility as adjustable – Wazdan’s chilli-pepper volatility switch sits right next to the spin button.

What “Extremely Light” Means

The Hot Slot series is Wazdan’s take on the old-school fruit machine, and the Extremely Light editions are the purest form of it. The screen is a bright red background with the flaming Hot Slot logo on top, and the reels hold only the traditional set: cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes, watermelons, the red 7 and the golden crown. There are no expanding wilds, no bonus wheels and no collect symbols – wins come from lines, and the crown is the scatter.

The 20 Lines

Twenty lines on a 5x3 grid means the paylines run in every direction: straight rows, V shapes and zig-zags. When a line pays, the rest of the grid dims and the winning symbols stay lit, with a thin red line tracing the path – our screenshots show exactly this for a V-shaped watermelon line and a zig-zag cherry line.

What Our Spins Showed

We played the demo at a total bet of 100, and the wins were easy to read:

  • Five watermelons on a V-shaped line: 2,500 – 25 times the stake.
  • Five lemons along the middle row: 1,000 – 10x.
  • Five cherries on a zig-zag line: 1,000 – 10x.
  • Other spins paid 750, 600 and 500, each flagged with a “Congratulations!” banner.

Five watermelons were the best line we saw, and five cherries paid the same as five lemons. We did not land a line of sevens, the symbol classic fruit machines usually reserve for their top prize.

The Crown Scatter

The crown is the only symbol that does not follow the lines. It appeared on our reels on the second and fourth reels, and SlotCatalog lists scatter symbols among the game’s features.

Volatility Levels

Wazdan lets players choose how the game behaves. The chilli-pepper button to the left of the spin button switches between volatility levels: the same symbols and lines, but a different balance between frequent small wins and rarer big ones. SlotCatalog records this as “Adjusted” variance.

The Gamble

The x2 button on the left of the control bar is the Gamble, a double-or-nothing game after a win. It is optional, and SlotCatalog lists it as a Risk/Gamble (Double) feature.

Stakes

The bet bar shows the stake steps around the one you choose – 70, 80, 90 and 100 around our 100 bet – plus a quick jump to the maximum, which the demo showed as 10,000.

How the Balance Moved

The demo balance sat at around 100,000 in play money, and the balance line in our screenshots gives a rough picture of the game’s rhythm. Across the spins we captured it moved between 99,625 and 103,200. The 500, 600 and 750 wins kept it close to the starting level, and the two big line hits – the 2,500 watermelons and the 1,000 lemons and cherries – carried it clearly into profit. That is the typical shape of a lines-only fruit machine: many small returns and a few five-of-a-kind hits that make the session.

From Wazdan to VoltEnt

The game still carries the Wazdan logo in the bottom corner, but the studio’s titles now appear under the VoltEnt name, which is why we list it as VoltEnt (Wazdan). The Hot Slot range is one of its best-known series, built around the same red-and-gold look and the same classic symbol set.

The Other 777 Crown Games

777 Crown has become a small family. Besides the original, the casinos we checked carry Xmas, Halloween, Easter and Football Edition versions; see our Hot Slot: 777 Crown Easter review for the seasonal take.

Who It Is For

This is a game for fruit-machine purists: twenty lines, one scatter, a gamble and a volatility switch, with nothing to distract from the spinning reels. The 305x ceiling is modest, so it suits long, steady sessions rather than jackpot hunting. Five of the six casinos we checked carry it; SunClub does not.
