Joker Rising Overview

Joker Rising is a classic fruit slot from Popiplay, released on 1 April 2026. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines, and it mixes the familiar sevens, bells, clovers and fruit with one modern twist: a female Joker who acts as the wild and expands to cover the whole reel. The Paytable

The paytable shows the values for five, four and three of a kind. At a 10.00 bet they are:

Wins pay on the 20 lines from left to right, only the highest win per line is paid, and wins on different lines are added together. The Joker herself has no line value of her own – her job is to complete other symbols’ lines.

The Expanding Joker Wild

The wild substitutes for every symbol except the bonus symbol, and it can land on any reel. The key detail in the rules is when it expands: the Joker grows to cover her entire reel only when at least one winning line passes through her. A Joker that does not contribute to a win stays a single symbol.

The rules also spell out where the ceiling comes from: “Filling the reels with Wilds grants the max win of 1,500x bet.” In other words, the top prize is a screen full of expanded Jokers.

Free Spins

The bonus symbol is a gold horseshoe marked BONUS. It does not pay, but three or more anywhere on the grid trigger the free spins:

• 3 bonus symbols: 10 free spins
• 4 bonus symbols: 15 free spins
• 5 bonus symbols: 20 free spins

The free spins cannot be retriggered – the bonus symbol is removed from the reels during the feature. Otherwise the same rules apply as in the main game, including the expanding wilds, and the spins use the same bet as the spin that triggered them. What Our Spins Showed

In the base game a V-shaped line of three watermelons paid 6.00 – exactly the 0.6x from the table.

We then bought the feature. The balance dropped from 1,000.00 to 500.00, three bonus horseshoes landed, and the counter showed 10 free spins – the smallest of the three possible awards.

The round started quietly: on the third spin a line of three lemons paid 4.00, the 0.4x from the table. Then the Jokers arrived. How the Wins Add Up

The paytable makes it clear why the wild matters so much in this game. The highest regular prize is five red sevens at 20x. With three expanded Jokers on the first three reels, every one of the 20 lines starts with three wilds, so every one of those lines pays at least four of a kind of whatever symbol sits on the fourth reel. Our own round shows the effect: the total went from 4.00 after the third spin to 1,144.00 after the fifth, so at least one of those two spins paid more than 57x the bet on its own. It is also why the 1,500x cap is tied to a screen full of wilds.

The game is built around bright, glossy fruit on a dark teal background: shiny cherries, a cut watermelon, green clover leaves, a golden bell and the classic red 7.
