King’s Sword Overview

Theme and Design

The reels stand in a carved wooden frame with red panels, in front of a green valley with a river and a white stone castle on a hill. To the right of the reels stands the king himself in armour and a red cloak, leaning on his sword – and when the sword wilds drop, he raises it into the air. The “40 LINES” marker on the left edge reminds you of the fixed line count.

The artwork is bright and detailed. The premium symbols are the crowned king, a mage with a glowing orb, a knight in full plate, a shield and a golden cross, while the low symbols are card suits – spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds – drawn as coloured gem-like tiles. A golden chalice also appears on the reels.

Symbols and Payouts

The paytable shows the prizes in real money at the current bet. At a total bet of $100 the sword wild pays the most: $1,500 for five, $300 for four and $75 for three – 15 times the bet for a full line. The king follows with $1,250 for five, then the mage with $750 and the knight with $500. The shield pays $375 and the cross $250 for five, while the spade and the heart pay $187.50.

That gives a clear ladder of values, from 15x for five wilds down to just under 2x for a line of five low symbols, with three of a kind already paying on every symbol.

The Sword Wild

The wild is a sword thrust into a rock, marked with a red WILD label. It substitutes for the regular symbols and completes lines on its own. In one of our spins several swords came down onto the reels at once, landing on the second, third and fourth reels while the king lifted his blade on the right. Several wilds in the middle reels are what make the bigger line wins possible.

Winning Spins in Our Session

The game reports each paying line at the top of the screen, for example LINE 27 WINS $187.50, and then adds up the spin in large gold numbers. With a $100 bet we recorded wins of $37.50, $62.50 and $200.00, where a line of hearts completed by a wild paid $187.50 on its own.

The best spin came when knights lined up with the help of two wilds: line 11 alone paid $500, and together with the other lines the spin totalled $1,725 – more than 17 times the bet. With 40 lines on a 5x4 grid, a strong symbol with a few wilds can pay on many lines at the same time.

The Paylines

The 40 lines cover the four rows in straight, V-shaped and zigzag patterns, and the lines screen shows them one by one on coloured grids. Wins pay from left to right, and because all 40 lines are always active, the bet is simply split across them.

Controls and Interface

The control bar under the reels is simple and readable. On the left it shows the last win and the total bet, on the right the current balance. The large orange spin button in the middle doubles as the autoplay control: its label reads Hold for Auto, so a long press starts automatic spins, and during a spin it turns into a red stop button. The New Bet and Max Bet buttons on either side of it change the stake, and an information icon in the corner opens the paytable and the lines screens.
