Legends Cup Overview

Stadium Lights and Cup Final Colours

The reels sit on a pitch-green board in the middle of a floodlit stadium, with silhouettes of fans in the stands and a row of national flags around the logo. The premium symbols are four footballers drawn in a friendly cartoon style, each framed in a different colour. The lower symbols are all taken from the game itself: a ball and a whistle, a pair of boots, a yellow and red card, and gold, silver and bronze medals.

Expanding Reels in the Base Game

Every win sets off a cascade: the winning symbols are removed, new ones fall in, and the reel set grows by one row. Four winning cascades in a row take the grid to its full 8x6 size and 262,144 ways. Wins pay for adjacent symbols from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Wilds appear on reels 3 to 6 and substitute for everything except the scatter.

The Footballers and Colossal Symbols

The four footballers are the symbols to watch, each shown in a differently coloured frame. In our session they were also the symbols that appeared as Colossal Symbols. A colossal symbol counts as a full block of the same symbol on every row and reel it covers, so a single big face on the first reels can connect with dozens of ways at once. That is exactly what happened in our 270.00 win: the green player covered three reels and three rows, and matching players further along completed the line.

In the Free Drops these big blocks become even more valuable, because the removed low symbols can no longer take up space next to them.

The Paytable

The info screen lists the prizes at the selected bet. At our 20.00 stake the ball and the whistle paid 16.00 for six, 10.00 for five, 6.00 for four and 4.00 for three. The key rule is shown on the award screen: any wild in view removes the lowest-paying symbol for the rest of the round. A golden column to the left of the reels tracks the lower-paying symbols during the round, and every symbol that is removed leaves more room for the ones that pay better. More scatters retrigger the round, with no limit on retriggers.

Our Free Drops Round

With a wild on the bottom row the round warmed up quickly. We saw tumbles paying 229.00 and 252.00 with four spins left, and with two spins remaining a screen full of cards, whistles and footballers paid 1,172.00 – more than 58 times the stake from a single spin. The feature total had reached 1,513.00 at that point, which is about 75 times our 20.00 bet.

The round shows why symbol removal matters. Each wild that lands takes one more low symbol out of the reels, so the later spins of a long round are played on a grid that contains fewer and fewer cheap symbols. Retriggers extend that effect, and OneTouch notes that the 10,000x maximum is reached when all the low-paying symbols have been removed.
