Lion Kingdom Overview

Lion Kingdom is an African safari slot from Amigo Gaming, released in May 2024 – SlotCatalog gives 3 May. Lions, rhinos, cheetahs and zebras roam a 5x3 grid framed by carved wood and red curtains, with the golden savannah at sunset behind it. The game pays on 25 fixed lines, Amigo rates the volatility medium-high, and the maximum multiplier is x1,400. Stakes run from 0.25 to 25 per spin.

Amigo lists four features on the game’s own page: a Big Symbol that covers several reels, Free Games, a Pin Win bonus unlocked with six bonus symbols, and a Pick’em bonus. Our screenshots were taken at a stake of 1,000 coins, so every win can be read straight against the bet.

The Paytable

The paytable is written in coins at the 1,000 stake. For five, four and three of a kind:

• Lion: 20,000 / 4,000 / 1,000 – 20x, 4x and 1x the bet
• Rhino: 6,000 / 3,000 / 600 – 6x, 3x, 0.6x
• Cheetah and zebra: 4,000 / 2,000 / 400 – 4x, 2x, 0.4x
• A and K: 1,200 / 400 / 200 – 1.2x, 0.4x, 0.2x

The lion is clearly the symbol to wait for: five of them pay more than three times as much as five rhinos. Q, J and 10 sit below the A and K; the screenshots confirm the Q values in play, as shown below.

25 Lines

The line diagram shows all 25 patterns across the 5x3 grid: the three rows, V shapes, zig-zags and a set of stepped lines that move between the top and bottom rows. All 25 are always active, and wins pay from left to right.

The Big Symbol

The feature that gives Lion Kingdom its character is the giant symbol. Instead of a single tile, one symbol can arrive as a block that fills several reels at once. Our best example shows it clearly: a giant Q covering all three rows of the first four reels. Because every position on reels one to four holds a Q, every one of the 25 lines carries four of a kind – and the meter showed LINES PLAYED: 25 and a win of 10,000.

The maths checks out exactly: 25 lines at 400 coins each is 10,000, which puts four Qs at 0.4x the bet per line. A single line of four Qs is barely worth noticing; the same symbol as a giant block pays 10x the stake in one spin. Imagine the same block made of lions, and it is clear where the game’s x1,400 ceiling comes from.

Putting Numbers on the Giant Lion

The paytable lets us estimate what the big symbol is worth for the other animals. The giant Q in our screenshot covered reels one to four and paid on all 25 lines. The same block made of lions would put four lions on every line – 25 lines at 4x, or 100x the bet from a single spin. A block of rhinos on the same four reels would be 25 at 3x, 75x; cheetahs or zebras, 50x.

A fifth matching reel changes the picture again, because five lions pay 20x per line. That is how a single spin can move towards the game’s 1,400x maximum. These are paytable calculations, not results we saw – but they show why the big symbol, not the line wins, carries this game’s volatility.

What Our Spins Showed

The smaller wins confirm the paytable line by line. Three Qs on a zig-zag line paid 200 – 0.2x. Four As landing across the middle row paid on two lines at once, 800 in total, or 400 per line – the four-A value from the table. A spin with lions on the first reels paid on seven lines for 1,600, and another showed the “5 of a kind!” banner for a full line of Js.

Free Games and Pin Win

The ticker above the reels explains the bonuses as you play. It reads that three scatter symbols trigger the free games, and it reminds you to trigger the Pin Win bonus, which Amigo says needs six bonus symbols. In Pin Win, the reels are replaced by a board of spheres that collect values, the familiar Amigo format used across its catalogue.

The scatter itself is easy to spot: a tree on the savannah with the word SCATTER across it, visible on the first reel in one of our screenshots. The ticker also repeats the game’s headline number: “Win up to x1400”.

Graphics and Sound

Lion Kingdom is one of Amigo’s more painterly games. The animal portraits are detailed and warm-coloured – the lion’s mane, the rhino’s grey hide, the cheetah against green grass – while the card letters are thick and glossy. The grid sits in a carved frame hung with ivory tusks and red drapes, and the background is a sunset over acacia trees. The interface is Amigo’s standard: balance on the left, the stake on the right and the win meter in the middle.
