Loki Loot Overview

Theme and Graphics

The reels are set into a carved wooden frame with a totem face on the right-hand post, standing in a Norse settlement: turf-roofed longhouses, a red barn, a shield and axe propped against the wall, green hills and pine forest behind.

It is the friendly end of the Viking theme – bright daylight, rounded shapes, nothing grim about it. The free spins darken the scene to dusk with the totem lit from below.

The symbol set is a bearded warrior, a blonde shieldmaiden, a horned helmet, a war hammer and the card ranks from 10 to A, carved as if cut from stone.

What the Symbols Pay

The line pays are quoted in cash at the 8.00 bet. The bearded warrior pays 200.00 for five, the shieldmaiden 120.00, the helmet 40.00 and the hammer 20.00.

Now look at what four of a kind pays: the warrior drops from 200.00 to 12.00. That is a sixteenfold cliff between a full line and one short of it, where most games step down by three or four.

The same shape repeats down the table – 120.00 to 8.00 for the shieldmaiden, 40.00 to 4.80 for the helmet. In this game a near miss is worth almost nothing, and the entire line-pay value sits on completing all five.

Twenty Lines on a 5×5 Board

The layout is worth a moment. Five rows rather than the usual three gives 25 positions, but the game still runs only 20 fixed lines across them – so a large part of the grid is there to hold coins rather than to complete combinations.

That explains why the captures are so often busy without paying much: a board can carry six or seven symbols of the same kind and still not fill a line, because the lines do not cover every path through a five-row grid.

The Scatter

The scatter is the one symbol that breaks the woodcut style – a winged axe head on a burst of purple light, with SCATTER written across it, bright enough to spot instantly on a busy board.

One capture catches three of them scattered across the grid at once, which is the trigger; another has a pair sitting on opposite corners with the round already running, since the datasheet lists additional free spins among the features.
