Lucky Trick Overview

Lucky Trick is a fruit slot from Inbet, released on 8 November 2021 according to Inbet’s own game catalogue. It is a compact game: 5 reels, 3 rows and just 5 paylines, with fruits, bells and lucky sevens on a deep purple background. Its twist is a joker who takes over a whole reel, plus two different star scatters. There are no free spins – everything happens in the base game. Inbet does not publish a volatility rating or a maximum win for this title.

The Paytable

In our demo the stake was 5 – one coin on each of the five lines – and the paytable is written for that stake:

• Red 7: 3000 / 200 / 50 / 10 for five, four, three and two
• Grapes and watermelon: 500 / 100 / 40
• Bell: 200 / 50 / 20
• Lemon, orange, cherry and plum: 100 / 30 / 10

The seven is in a class of its own. Five of them pay 3000 at a stake of 5, which is 600 times the bet, and it is the only symbol that pays for two. The next best symbols, grapes and watermelon, top out at 500.

The Joker

The wild is a joker-lady holding an ace of hearts. The paytable spells out how she works: she appears “on reels 2, 3 and 4” and “replaces all symbols on this reel, except for scatters”. In other words she does not stay a single wild symbol – the whole reel turns into her, which is how short lines suddenly become five-of-a-kinds.

Two Kinds of Scatter

Lucky Trick has two stars, and they pay differently:

• The gold star scatter pays 500 for five, 100 for four and 15 for three, anywhere on the reels.
• The blue star scatter appears only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and three of them pay 100 – twenty times the stake.

The blue star is the more valuable one to see: three of them are worth more than three gold stars by a factor of almost seven.

The Paytable as Multiples of the Stake

Because the paytable is written for a stake of 5, it is easy to turn it into multiples of the total bet:

• Three of any low fruit: 2x; five of them: 20x
• Three bells: 4x; five bells: 40x
• Three grapes or watermelons: 8x; five: 100x
• Two sevens: 2x; three: 10x; four: 40x; five: 600x
• Gold star scatters: 3x, 20x and 100x for three, four and five
• Three blue star scatters: 20x

The jump from four sevens to five is the steepest step in the game: 200 becomes 3000, fifteen times as much. With the joker able to fill reels 2, 3 and 4, a seven on the first and last reel is enough for the top prize on a line – the joker supplies the three in the middle. That is the one combination the whole game is built around.

What Our Spins Showed

We played the demo at a stake of 5, and every win matched the paytable.

Three plums on a diagonal line paid 10. Three gold star scatters, one on the first reel and two on the top row of reels 3 and 4, paid 15. Three bells across the middle row paid 20.

The best spin shows the joker in action. She landed on reels 2 and 4 and filled both reels, and a lemon on the first, third and fifth reels completed a line of five – paying 100, twenty times the stake. Without the joker the same screen would have been worth nothing.

The 5 Paylines

The payline screen shows the five patterns: the three straight rows, a V shape and an inverted V. With so few lines, most spins pay nothing, and a win is usually a single line – which is why the expanding joker matters so much.

Graphics and Setting

The symbols are glossy and bright on a violet background with faint sevens and fruit silhouettes behind the reels. Winning symbols light up with flames, and the win amount appears in large gold numbers. The control strip under the reels shows the balance, the bet and an autoplay button, with a round pink start button on the right.

Other Versions

Inbet also released Lucky Trick 3x3 and Lucky Trick (Pull Tabs) in April 2022 – one-line games on a smaller grid, and unlike the original both of them have free games. They are separate titles at our casinos. This review covers the original five-reel game shown in the screenshots.
