Magic Lamp Bingo Overview

Magic Lamp Bingo is a video bingo game from TaDa Gaming, released on 24 November 2023. Instead of reels it deals four bingo cards of fifteen numbers each, draws a set of balls and pays for the patterns you complete. The published RTP is 97% and the maximum win is 3,000x the total bet; no volatility rating has been published.

The figures below come from our own demo session, played with a bet of 10 per card – four cards, so 40 per round.

An Arabian Palace Theme

The game is set on a palace terrace under a blue sky, with a golden magic lamp in the logo and an ornate golden door in the middle of the screen. The door is where the action happens: the drawn ball appears in it large and clear, and during the extra-ball phase it opens to show the price of the next ball and a grid of bonus slots.

The four cards sit two on each side of the door. Every card has three rows of five numbers between 1 and 90, and daubed numbers turn yellow or pink, so you can follow the progress of each card at a glance.

The Controls

The bar at the bottom of the screen shows the Balance, the Bet per card, the current WIN, the number of cards in play and the Total Bet. In our session those read 10 per card, 4 cards and 40 in total, so the total bet is simply the card bet times the number of cards.

On the right there is an auto-play button marked A and a lightning button for faster draws, and a change button next to the cards swaps them for a fresh set of numbers before the next round. A transaction number is printed in the corner of the screen for every round.

The Pattern Table

The prize patterns run along the top of the screen as small grids. The two biggest are marked BONUS and pay x1500 and x500; after them come x350, x200, x100 and a ladder of smaller patterns down to single-digit multipliers. The multipliers apply to the bet on each card, so on a 10 card a x100 pattern is worth 1,000.

Completed patterns are crossed through on the card with a gold X, and each card can pay for more than one pattern in the same round.

The Main Draw

A round starts with the main draw, and the drawn balls line up in a row across the top of the screen. In our first captured round the main draw paid 80 – 2x the total bet – from small patterns on two of the cards.

A panel on the left then lists the possibilities: the numbers that would complete a pattern on one of your cards and what each would pay. In our round it showed, for example, that ball 46 would pay 2,000 and ball 84 would pay 500, with a combined total at the top. This is the information you need for the next decision.

Buying Extra Balls

After the main draw the game offers extra balls, one at a time, through the BUY EXTRA button. The price is shown in the lamp door, and it rises with the value of what you could still win: our first extra ball cost 87, a later one 141 and the last one 433. You can stop at any point with CANCEL and keep what you have.

In our captured round we bought eight extra balls: 37, 3, 73 and 10 first, then 39, 2, 15 and finally 57. They appear as small balls inside the lamp door in the order they were drawn, so you can always see how far into the extra-ball phase you are.

SlotCatalog’s description adds that the balls bought at the fifth and eighth stages of the extra-ball phase carry the chance of a Super Bomb. In the lamp door some of the extra-ball slots are marked BOMB, which fits that description.

Hints on the Cards

As the extra-ball phase goes on, the cards themselves start to show prices. A number that would complete a pattern gets a small green label with the amount it would pay – in our round the fourth card showed 74 worth 1,000, 51 worth 2,000 and 79 worth 1,000, and the second card showed 46 worth 2,000 and 84 worth 500.

These labels match the possibility panel on the left, so you can read the same information either way. They are the clearest way to see which card is close to a big pattern and whether the next ball is worth its price.

The Super Bomb

We triggered the Super Bomb once, on the fifth extra ball – exactly where SlotCatalog’s description places it. A large black bomb exploded over the cards, scattering numbered tiles, and afterwards a bomb marker sat on a number on the first card, daubing it without a ball being drawn. In practice it works like a free extra ball that lands where it helps.

It did not complete a pattern on its own in our round, but it moved the first card closer to one, and the possibility panel updated straight away.

What the Session Did

The extra balls were expensive. Our balance fell from 1,960 to 1,591, then 1,450, 1,231 and finally 798 as we kept buying, so the extra-ball phase cost us 1,162 in total, while the win display crept from 80 to 110 and then 140.

Then ball 57, the eighth extra ball, arrived and the round turned. It completed a x100 pattern worth 1,000, and a second 1,000 pattern followed, taking the round’s win to 2,110 – about 53x the 40 total bet. After the cost of the extra balls, that left the round comfortably ahead.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 97% RTP is above the average for slots, and the 3,000x maximum is a realistic ceiling for a four-card bingo game. The key point is that the extra-ball phase is optional and priced against your chances: buying every ball can cost many times the original bet, as it did in our session.

It also plays very differently from a slot. A round has two parts – a fixed-price main draw and an optional extra-ball phase – and most of the variance sits in the second part, where you decide how much to spend.

Who Should Play It

Magic Lamp Bingo suits players who like video bingo and enjoy a decision after every draw. The possibility panel shows exactly what each extra ball is worth, so the game rewards players who read it rather than buy on reflex. The demo above is the best way to learn how quickly the extra-ball prices climb.
