Mighty Stars Overview

Mighty Stars is a neon fruit slot from NetGame, released on 22 March 2024. It runs on a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines and borrows its look from the 1980s: glowing outlines, a synthwave grid and a purple horizon. NetGame publishes a 96.77% RTP, medium volatility, a hit frequency of 22% and a maximum win of 4,000x the bet, capped at €250,000 per round.

How the Collect Feature Works

The whole game is built around one mechanic. Orange spheres land on the reels carrying cash values, jackpot labels or extra free spins. On their own they do nothing; the prize is only paid when a pink Star lands on the fifth reel. The Star then collects every sphere on the screen and shows the total inside itself.

In every one of our screenshots the Stars appear only on the fifth reel, and a spin can bring more than one of them. That is what makes the free spins so much stronger than the base game: the spheres stay the same, but two Stars on the same spin collect them twice, and the jackpot spheres count in full every time. A sphere-heavy screen with no Star, on the other hand, pays nothing extra at all.

NetGame’s own symbol list describes it precisely: one value sphere, four jackpot spheres, one free-spins sphere, the Star (Collect), a Wild and seven regular symbols.

Checking the Maths

The screenshots let us follow the Star at a $10 bet. In the base game, spheres worth 20.00, 20.00 and 2.50 were collected by a Star showing 42.50 – exactly their sum.

In the free spins the same rule works twice at once. With spheres showing MINI, 5.00 and 2.50 on screen, two Stars landed on the fifth reel and each displayed 107.50. Every Star collects all the spheres, so two Stars pay the collection twice.

The Jackpot Spheres

The jackpot values are not printed on the reels, but the Star totals give them away. When the free spins started, the Star held 135.00 from spheres worth 5.00, 30.00 and a MINI – so the Mini was worth 100.00, or 10x the bet. Later a Star collected 275.00 from 5.00, 15.00, 5.00 and a MINOR, putting the Minor at 250.00 – 25x. The same arithmetic confirms the 107.50 above: Mini 100 plus 5.00 plus 2.50.

Free Spins

Free spins come from the green-bordered +3 and +4 spheres. In our trigger the Star collected three of them – +3, +4 and +3 – and the game announced “Congratulations! You won 10 free spins”. The same spheres keep working during the round: the counter moved from 10 to 13 and later to 16, as more +3 spheres were collected.

The totals grew quickly. At spin 10 of 16 the win meter read $475.00, and by spin 12 of 16 it had reached $750.00 – 75x the bet, with two Stars paying 80.00 each on a single spin.

One Round, Spin by Spin

The counters on our screenshots fit together into a single round, which makes it possible to follow how a bought bonus develops. It opened with ten free spins and a Star already worth 135.00. By spin 2 of 10 the win meter stood at $145.00, after a Star collected spheres of 10.00, 20.00 and 5.00. A +3 sphere pushed the counter to 13, and at spin 7 of 13 the double-Star spin lifted the total to $242.50. Another +3 made it 16 spins, and the meter read $475.00 at spin 10 and $750.00 at spin 12.

Set against the $800 purchase price, that is the honest picture of a bought feature: with four spins still to play, the round had returned a little under the cost. The game does not promise more than the free spins themselves – the rest depends on how many Stars land and what they find.

Buy Bonus

The pink Buy Bonus star on the left sells the feature directly. At a $10 bet the price is $800 – 80x, and the panel promises “Guaranteed at least 5 free spins”. The balance confirms it: $860.00 before, $60.00 after – and the round went on to deliver ten free spins rather than the minimum five.

Jackpots Beyond the Minor

NetGame lists four jackpot spheres. Our session showed two of them – the Mini at 10x and the Minor at 25x – while the larger ones never appeared. Because a Star adds jackpot spheres to its collection like any other value, a jackpot only matters in combination with a Star on the fifth reel. The 4,000x maximum and the €250,000 exposure cap are the limits on what a single round can pay.

Symbols and Paylines

The regular symbols are neon outlines of cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, bells, watermelons and a red Seven, with a diamond as the Wild. Wins pay on 20 fixed lines, and in our free spins the bells and lemons added line wins on top of the Star collections – the 242.50 total on the two-Star spin included 27.50 from lines.

The Numbers

NetGame’s data sheet is more detailed than most. Besides the 96.77% RTP and 22% hit frequency, it lists a feature hit rate of 1 in 160 spins and a big-win rate of 1 in 95. The minimum bet is 0.20. SlotCatalog gives a lower 96.26% RTP and a 23 February release; we use the provider’s own figures.

Graphics and Sound

The reels float over a retro wireframe landscape in violet and magenta, with the title in pink neon script. The fruits are drawn as glowing tubes of light, the spheres burn like small suns, and the Stars pulse on the fifth reel. It is one of the more distinctive looks among modern fruit slots.

Who It Is For

Mighty Stars is for players who like to watch a single mechanic build up. Every sphere is a promise that only the Star can cash, and in free spins two or three Stars on one spin multiply the effect. Medium volatility and a 4,000x ceiling make it a balanced game rather than an extreme one. All six casinos we checked carry it.
