Mighty Wild: Panther Grand Platinum Edition is a hold-and-win slot from Wazdan, released on 26 June 2024 as part of the studio’s Mighty Wild series. It runs on a 5x3 grid, and according to Wazdan’s own game page it has an RTP of 96.12%, high volatility and a maximum win of 2,500x the stake.

This is not a conventional slot. The reels carry no regular paying symbols at all – only bonus symbols and blanks – so almost everything the game pays comes from its two bonus rounds, Hold the Jackpot and Wild Rampage. The Platinum Edition adds a feature the earlier versions lacked: a Cash Out label that can pay in the base game too.

A Panther in the Rainforest

The grid stands in a misty jungle clearing, with tropical leaves and a stone idol at the edges and dark panther silhouettes filling the empty positions. Silver cash coins, red Cash Infinity coins, green Mini jackpot medallions and gold Mystery tiles light up the grid when they land, and the four jackpot values sit in a row above it. The panther herself, black with bright green eyes, appears on the Wild Rampage symbols.

A Grand Platinum Edition badge in the top left corner separates this version from the Gold and Diamond editions of the same game. The controls follow the usual Wazdan layout: bet steps along the bottom, a shopping cart for the bonus buy and the Chance Level selector on the left.

How the Base Game Works

Every spin is simply an attempt to collect bonus symbols. The in-game rules state it plainly: there are no regular symbols in the base game, and bonus symbols pay only in the bonus game. You need at least six bonus symbols of the same family in view to start a feature – coins and jackpot symbols for Hold the Jackpot, panther symbols for Wild Rampage.

Cash Infinity coins are the exception to the rule that the grid resets after each spin. They carry values of 5x to 15x the stake and stay sticky until the end of the next bonus round, so they build up a head start over several spins.

The Cash Out Feature

A Cash Out label can appear on a random position during the base game and stay there for up to 15 spins, with a countdown showing how many are left. If a bonus symbol of any type lands in that position when the countdown reaches zero, its value is paid out immediately. In one of our screenshots the label sat under a 3,900 coin with a x3 marker, with three spins still to go.

This is the only way to win outside the bonus rounds, and it gives the base game some tension that the earlier Mighty Wild titles did not have.

Hold the Jackpot

Six or more cash, Cash Infinity, jackpot, Collector, Mystery or Jackpot Mystery symbols start the Hold the Jackpot bonus with 3 respins. The triggering symbols lock in place, and every new bonus symbol also sticks and resets the counter to three. The round ends when the respins run out or when all 15 positions are filled.

Regular cash coins pay 1x to 10x the stake. Mini, Minor and Major jackpot symbols pay 10x, 20x and 50x – at the 100 FUN stake in our screenshots, 1,000, 2,000 and 5,000. A Collector absorbs the values of the cash coins and multiplies the total by a random x1 to x20, a Mystery symbol reveals any bonus symbol except Cash Infinity, and a Jackpot Mystery always turns into one of the jackpots.

Wild Rampage

Six or more panther symbols trigger the Wild Rampage bonus, again with 3 respins that reset every time a new panther lands. This round has a twist: panthers pay on 10 bet lines as well. The paytable in the rules lists 4,000, 1,000, 500 and 200 FUN for five, four, three and two panthers on a line at a 100 FUN stake – 40x, 10x, 5x and 2x.

A Panther Mystery symbol reveals any panther symbol, jackpots included, and adds a random multiplier of x1 to x10. All line wins and panther jackpots are paid together when the round ends; our Wild Rampage screenshot closed with seven panthers and a total win of 500 FUN.

The Grand Jackpot

Filling all 15 positions in either bonus round awards the Grand Jackpot of 2,500x the stake – 250,000 FUN at our 100 FUN bet. The rules make clear that this is the maximum prize in the game: when the Grand Jackpot is won, the panther line wins and panther jackpots are not added to it.

Chance Level and Bonus Buy

Chance Level lets you raise the stake by x2, x5 or x10 in exchange for a better chance of triggering the bonus rounds; our screenshots show the x5 level taking the total bet from 100 to 500 FUN. In markets where it is allowed, the shopping cart opens a bonus buy menu for both features in several volatility versions, with more and stronger starting symbols the more you pay.

Our Verdict

Mighty Wild: Panther Grand Platinum Edition is built for players who like hold-and-win rounds and nothing else. With no line wins in the base game, a session is a series of bonus chases, and the Cash Out countdown together with the sticky Cash Infinity coins makes those chases more interesting than in the earlier editions.
