Penguin Holidays Overview

Penguin Holidays is a summer fruit slot from Amigo Gaming, released in August 2024. A penguin in sunglasses keeps watch from a lifeguard tower next to a large 5x5 grid, with palm trees, a turquoise lagoon and green mountains behind it. The game pays on 50 lines, Amigo rates the volatility medium-high, and the maximum win is x1,250 – the game itself advertises “Win up to x1250” on the banner above the reels. The Paytable

The symbols are beach treats and fruit. At the 5,000-coin stake the paytable shows:

The yellow duck float is in a class of its own. Five on a line pay 30 times the bet, six times more than the next best symbol, and it is the only one that pays for just two. Four ducks, on the other hand, pay only 2x – the value is concentrated almost entirely in the fifth symbol.

Five Rows, Fifty Lines

With five rows instead of three, the grid holds 25 symbols, and the 50 lines weave through it in straight rows, V shapes and zig-zags. A single spin can pay on many lines at once: one of our spins had ducks stacked on the first two reels and paid 22 lines for a total of 11,000, a little over twice the bet. The arithmetic is simple: two ducks pay 500 at this stake, and 22 lines × 500 is exactly 11,000. The ducks were stacked four high on the first two reels, so almost every line that started in those rows collected the two-duck prize.

Random Wilds and Wild Multipliers

The wilds in Penguin Holidays are ice cubes, each with a frozen symbol inside and an x2 multiplier on the front. They drop onto the grid at random during the base game, and several can land at once. Our screenshots show how strong they are:

• four ice cubes on the second and third reels completed 21 lines worth 50,500 – about 10x the bet;
• a spin with seven ice cubes spread across all five reels paid 20 lines for 76,000, or 15.2x.

Each cube carries its own x2 badge, and the screenshots show them in groups of two to seven. The base-game ticker adds that “water balls may trigger” more action – a reference to the bonus buckets, which kept appearing next to the wilds in our spins.

The Bonus Symbol and Free Games

The bonus symbol is a colourful bucket of water balls, and three or more anywhere on the grid trigger the free games – the scrolling banner reminds you that “3 or more scatter symbols trigger free games”. It also pays on its own: our trigger showed 5,000, one times the bet.

The game then announced “You won 15 free games!” The mood changes with it. The sky turns purple and pink, the penguin loses his sunglasses and swears in comic-book symbols at the top of the screen, and the ice-cube wilds keep coming. At free game 8/15 a spin with x2 ice cubes on four reels paid 20 lines for 102,700 – about 20.5x the bet, with one line alone worth 20,000. A new bonus bucket was already sitting on the first reel during that spin.

Where the Big Wins Come From

The paytable is modest outside the duck, so the wins in Penguin Holidays are built from quantity: many lines at once, lifted by x2 ice cubes. All three of our largest results – 50,500, 76,000 and 102,700 – came from 20 or more paying lines with several wilds on the grid. A full line of five ducks is the single strongest symbol result, at 30x before any multiplier.

The Lifeguard Penguin

The penguin is more than a mascot. In the base game he lounges on his lifeguard tower in dark sunglasses, and a small “z” floats above him when nothing is happening. When the free games start, the glasses come off, his expression turns cross and a burst of “$&%#” appears above the logo – the holiday is over, and the purple dusk sky makes the change of scene obvious. Graphics and Sound

The art is bright and cartoonish: shiny purple plums, glossy cherries, a red ice lolly, watermelon slices and the yellow rubber duck ring. The penguin is the star – relaxed and sunbathing in the base game, irritated and squawking in the free games. The ice-cube wilds are drawn with frost and cracks, each showing the symbol frozen inside, and the lines light up in pale blue when they pay.
