A Crew on a Stormy Deck

The reels are framed in weathered planks tied with rope, with a ship’s rigging and a grey sea behind them. The high-paying symbols are the crew – a woman in a red captain’s hat, a green-skinned pirate and a bearded captain – along with a treasure chest and a flintlock pistol. The low symbols are A, K, Q and J.

Three Flags, Three Free Games

The last three entries on the paytable are the pirate flags in red, purple and gold. They pay far more than any line symbol: $3,750 for five (50x), $750 for four and $225 for three.

According to KA Gaming, the game offers three different free game options to choose from, and the three flag colours match that choice. We did not reach the free games in our session, so we cannot say which option each flag leads to.

Wilds and Stacked Pirates

The Wild is a pirate ship with a purple WILD banner. KA Gaming says that symbols can randomly turn into Wilds in the base game, and that the game has an expanding stack of pirates feature. In our captures several Wild ships appeared at once, which fits the random-Wild description.

Controls and Lines

The bottom bar shows the win, the total bet and the balance, with New Bet and Max Bet buttons on either side of the spin button. Holding the spin button starts autospin. A line above the reels names each winning line and its prize.

The lines screen shows all 30 patterns across the 5x3 grid. Every line is always active and wins pay from left to right, so the only decision is the stake. At the $0.30 minimum, five scatter flags would pay $15; at the $150 maximum, $7,500.

What the Session Did

The best capture paid $375 (5x) on line 1, with Wild ships helping a full line of bearded captains. Another spin paid $75 (1x), including $25 on line 20, and a spin with two Wilds and a treasure chest paid $70, of which line 7 contributed $12.50.

The balance moved between roughly $97,900 and $100,000 over the captures – a game in which the flags and the free games carry most of the value.
