How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Red Hot Chilli Chickens Overview

Red Hot Chilli Chickens is a kitchen-themed slot from BGaming, released on 17 September 2026. The logo in the game carries the subtitle “Hold and Win”, and the main idea is simple: three chickens collect chillies, and each of them can start its own bonus – even all three on the same spin.

The game plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 paylines, and all symbols pay from left to right on consecutive reels. The game rules give an RTP of 96.22%, slotcatalog lists the volatility as medium, and the max win is 5,000x the bet. According to slotcatalog, bets run from 0.20 to 50 per spin.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand in a brick restaurant kitchen full of pans, pots and plates. Three cartoon chickens sit on top of the frame: a blue one above the Free Spins sign, a red one above Jackpot Spins and a green one above Hold & Win. Bunches of red and green chillies hang on both sides of the reels, and the five jackpots are listed on the left in the money value of the current bet.

When a bonus starts, the kitchen catches fire. Flames run along the walls, and the chickens whose bonus is active turn into roast chickens on a plate.

Symbols and Paytable

The high symbols are kitchen items. Five of a kind pay 4x the bet for the steaming pot, 3x for the tomato, 2x for the bucket of fried chicken and 1.3x for the garlic and for the cleaver. The low symbols are A, K, Q, J and 10, and each of them pays 0.8x the bet for five.

The payouts are low on their own, but with 20 lines a full screen of one symbol pays twenty times the line win, and the mystery symbols are made exactly for that.

Wild and Mystery Symbols

The Wild is a burning gas ring. It lands on all reels, substitutes for all regular symbols and pays 1x, 2.5x and 10x the bet for three, four and five on a line. It does not replace mystery symbols, prize symbols, collectors or chillies.

Mystery symbols also land on all reels, and all of them reveal the same paying symbol. They are also the only way to find the chillies.

Red Hot Chillies

There are three base game chillies – green, red and blue – and they can only be revealed by mystery symbols. A chilli covers a paying symbol; once the chicken collects it, the symbol below works as normal. A collected chilli may trigger the bonus of its chicken, and up to three bonuses can start on any spin.

Colossal Free Spins

In the blue chicken’s bonus, a colossal 3x3 symbol lands on every free spin. It is a giant mystery block that turns into nine identical symbols, so three reels in a row are covered at once.

Jackpot Free Spins

In the red chicken’s bonus, you collect Jackpot Chillies in five colours. The more chillies of one colour you collect, the bigger the fixed jackpot:

  • 3 blue chillies – Mini: 10x the bet,
  • 4 green chillies – Minor: 20x the bet,
  • 5 purple chillies – Major: 50x the bet,
  • 6 yellow chillies – Mega: 1,000x the bet,
  • 7 red chillies – Max: 5,000x the bet.

Hold and Win Bonus

In the green chicken’s Hold & Win bonus, only prize symbols and collector symbols can land. The prize symbols are golden coins with values of up to 1,000x the bet. A collector is a burning coin: it collects all prize symbols in view and awards 1, 2 or 3 extra spins. At the end, all prize values are added together.

Double and Triple Bonus

If two bonuses trigger on the same spin, a Double Bonus starts, and three bonuses give a Triple Bonus. All of them run together on the same free spins:

  • Colossal + Jackpot: a 3x3 symbol lands on each spin while Jackpot Chillies are collected,
  • with Hold & Win: prize symbols land during the free spins and are collected instantly,
  • Triple: the colossal symbol, the Jackpot Chillies and the prize symbols all work at once.

Buy Features

The Buy Features button offers two options. For 100x the bet you get a bonus round that can be Single, Double or Triple, and for 200x the bet the Triple Bonus is guaranteed. At our bet of 4, the two prices were 400 and 800.

Our Demo Session

We started at a bet of 10, where a screen full of A symbols on the first four reels paid 9.00. Then we lowered the bet to 4 and bought the Triple Bonus. All three chickens were roasted, and the round started with 12 free spins. On the first spin the whole screen filled with the symbol 10 and paid 64.00, which is 20 lines at 3.20 each.

On the next spins a flaming 3x3 mystery block landed on the first three reels. Once it turned into nine golden coins worth 4.00 and 8.00 each, and they were collected at once. Later it became nine pots with Wilds beside them for 111.20 in one spin. Extra spins were added on the way, so the counter went up to 14, and the bonus win stood at 320.00 after the tenth spin.

We also saw the Hold & Win bonus on its own. The whole grid was full of coins worth 4.00 to 40.00, then collectors showing 128.00 and 76.00 took them from the reels, and a “+1” coin added one more spin.

Pros and Cons

  • Pros: three different bonuses that can be combined, five fixed jackpots up to 5,000x, an RTP above 96% and two Buy Feature options.
  • Cons: low line payouts in the base game, and the three small jackpots are worth only 10x to 50x the bet.

Who Should Play It

Red Hot Chilli Chickens is a good choice for players who like collecting features, Hold and Win rounds and funny cartoon graphics, without the big swings of a high-volatility game. Try the free demo first to see how the three bonuses work together.
