Rockin' Joker: Hold and Win OverviewRockin' Joker: Hold and Win is a compact fruit machine from Playson, released on 21 August 2025. A grinning joker in sunglasses plays the drums above a small 3x3 grid with 5 paylines, and the classic fruit symbols share the reels with coins, a music-note collector and the joker himself. The game adds a Hold and Win bonus with four fixed jackpots, and SlotCatalog lists a maximum win of 10,000x the bet. Stakes run from 0.20 to 100. Playson has not published an RTP or volatility rating that we could verify. Four Fixed JackpotsThe jackpot plaques sit above the drum kit on either side of the joker. At a 10.00 bet they read:
The plaques show fixed amounts rather than a ticking progressive counter. Even the Grand is only a tenth of the 10,000x ceiling, which means the top prize needs the jackpot, the coins and the joker multipliers working together. The PaytableThe game info screen lists the three-of-a-kind values at a 10.00 bet:
Oranges, plums, lemons and cherries fill out the lower end. Our screenshots show a line of three oranges paying 40.00, 4x the bet. On a 3x3 grid every win is exactly three symbols, so these are the only prizes the line game can pay; there is no four- or five-of-a-kind to wait for. Five Lines on Nine PositionsWith only nine positions, the five paylines are easy to follow: the three rows and the two diagonals that cross in the centre. That makes the middle position the most valuable spot on the grid – it belongs to three of the five lines – and it is exactly where the joker likes to land. Line by Line: Checking the WinsBecause the grid is so small, the screenshots let us work out the values that the paytable page cuts off. Cherries. One spin filled the top and bottom rows with cherries, and cherries also ran along both diagonals, while the middle row ended in a bunch of grapes. That is four cherry lines, and the game paid 40.00 – so three cherries are worth 10.00, exactly 1x the bet. Oranges and plums. A single bottom-row line of oranges paid 40.00, putting three oranges at 4x. In the joker spin the wild sat in the centre with oranges in two opposite corners and plums in the other two, completing both diagonals. The win of 80.00 is two lines of 40.00 – so three plums pay the same 4x as oranges. Put together with the paytable, the ladder runs: cherries 1x, oranges and plums 4x, watermelon and grapes 16x, BAR 20x and bells 30x. A full grid of bells would pay 30x on all five lines, 150x in total – the most the line game can do on its own. The JokerThe joker is the game's wild and its star. In the base game it lands as a single tall symbol on the middle reel, and in one of our spins it completed a win of 80.00 – 8x the bet – across the grid. In the bonus the joker returns in a different role, carrying multipliers. Coins and the Music-Note CollectorGold coins with cash values land on the reels in the base game – 30.00, 50.00 and 70.00 in our screenshots. They do nothing on their own until the collector arrives: a gold coin with a black music note. One screenshot shows it working cleanly. Coins worth 30.00 and 70.00 sat on the first reel, the note landed on the second, and the game paid 100.00 – exactly the sum of the two coins, 10x the bet, collected in a single spin. Hold and WinThe bonus moves to a dark red version of the grid. The coins and collectors lock in place, and three small counters under the reels mark the respins. Around the edges of the grid, jokers appear with x2 labels, and multiplier tags of x2 and x3 sit next to individual rows and positions. In one round we saw an 80.00 coin and a 60.00 coin on the grid, a music-note collector with an x2 tag and an x3 on the right-hand side. The round ended with a TOTAL WIN of 680.00 – 68x the 10.00 bet – with 380.00 and 300.00 sitting on the middle reel. The coin values alone would have been a fraction of that; the multipliers did most of the work. Why the Multipliers MatterCompare the two halves of the game. The line game tops out at 150x, and the biggest coin we saw in the base game was 70.00, or 7x. The Hold and Win round we captured paid 68x without touching any of the jackpots – almost half of the best possible line win from a handful of coins, one collector and a few multiplier tags. The jackpots and the 10,000x ceiling are reached through the bonus, not the reels. Nudge and Pile of GoldTwo further features are listed for the game: a Nudge feature that gives extra chances to trigger the bonus, and the Pile of Gold – the heap of coins you can see at the foot of the drum kit. Our screenshots do not show either in action, so we will not guess at the details; the paytable in the demo explains both. Buy BonusA red BONUS button with a shopping cart sits to the left of the reels. It opens the buy menu, which offers two options: the regular Hold and Win bonus and a Super Bonus. The prices scale with the stake and are shown in the game before you confirm. What Our Spins ShowedThe screenshots were taken at a 10.00 bet. Besides the coin collection and the line wins above, the balance moved between 530.00 and 970.00 in the base game – small, frequent wins with the occasional collector spin. Graphics and SoundThe whole game is lit in red and orange: flames around the reels, a drum kit with red shells, and a joker with a jester's hat, gold bells and dark glasses. The fruit symbols are glossy and old-fashioned, the coins are big and bright, and the soundtrack is rock rather than the usual casino jingle – the drum kit is not just decoration. Who It Is ForRockin' Joker: Hold and Win is for players who like the simplicity of a three-reel fruit machine but want a bonus with some weight behind it. The line game is small, the jackpots are fixed and easy to read, and the collector and joker multipliers give every coin a chance to matter. All six casinos we checked carry it.
