Scary Castle Overview

Scary Castle is a Halloween video slot from Inbet, released on 23 August 2023. It uses five reels and three rows with 25 paylines, and a haunted castle under a full moon, bare trees and a misty graveyard set the scene. Inbet’s game catalogue lists a gamble feature but no free games for this version. RTP, volatility and maximum win are not published.

Symbols

The reels are filled with classic Halloween props: black cats with glowing eyes, toadstools with a frog on top, grinning jack-o’-lanterns, pairs of poisoned green apples, a bubbling witch’s cauldron and a red potion flask with an eye inside. According to the game’s description, the scatter symbols pay anywhere on the reels, so they do not need to sit on a payline. Winning combinations are marked with thin lines drawn across the reels, and little white ghosts float up from the symbols that took part in the win.

Wins in Practice

Our screenshots were taken at a bet of 25, one credit on each of the 25 lines. A cluster of black cats paid 200 across four lines, red potion flasks paid 120 across six lines, and a wall of green apples on the first reels paid 40 across eight lines. When several lines win at once, the game adds them together and shows the total in the middle of the screen, while the message bar at the bottom tells you how many lines paid.

Risk Game

After a win you can take the prize or try the risk game. A face-down card appears in front of the castle, and you choose between two options:

• Colour – pick red or black to double the amount (x2)
• Suit – pick hearts, diamonds, spades or clubs to multiply it by four (x4)

In our example the amount at risk was 20, so a correct colour would have paid 40 and a correct suit 80. The last five cards are shown on the right, and the “Take 1/2” button lets you bank half of the win and keep gambling with the rest.

Stakes and Controls

Inbet’s catalogue lists bet levels of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100, and the 25 lines are always active, so the total bet is the chosen level multiplied by 25. The coin value and the balance are shown at the bottom left, the bet in the middle, and the Auto and Stop buttons on the right let you run a series of spins without clicking each time. A help button on the far left opens the paytable and the rules.

The game is part of a small Scary Castle family at Inbet: the catalogue also contains a Reel Respin edition, a Pull Tabs edition and a 3x3 version released in 2026, each with its own rules. This review covers the original 25-line slot from 2023.
