Sharky Frenzy Overview

Sharky Frenzy is a tropical fruit slot from Mancala Gaming. Mancala describes it in one line: a surfing shark on a 6x5 grid, with Avalanche wins, Mystery Boxes, progressive multipliers and a 3,000x max win. The studio does not publish an RTP or a volatility rating for it, so we do not quote either.

Beach, Fruit and a Surfing Shark

The grid stands on a white-sand beach under a blue sky, with palm trees and a pile of gold coins at the shark’s feet. The shark himself is the mascot: in the base game he leans on a surfboard in sunglasses, and at the start he looms over the reels chewing a cigar. The symbols are all beach snacks – strawberries, cherries, bananas, pineapples, watermelon slices, coconut drinks, ice lollies, ice-cream cones and a glass of orange juice.

Avalanche Wins

Sharky Frenzy has no paylines. Matching fruit anywhere on the 30 positions pays, and the winning symbols then burst in a splash of water so that new ones can fall into the gaps. Our screenshots catch two of these moments at a bet of 10:

• A burst worth 15.00 (1.5x) clearing a whole cluster of pineapple-and-cherry positions in the middle of the grid.
• A burst worth 9.00 during the free spins, with the splash covering most of the right-hand side of the board.

Because every avalanche can lead to another, a single spin can pay several times before the grid settles.

Scatters and Free Spins

The Scatter is the shark himself, framed and labelled SCATTER. Landing enough of them opens the bonus, and our session was greeted with “Congratulations! You won 10 Free Spins!”. According to Mancala, scatters stay on the grid for the whole spin during the bonus and can add more free spins.

The Growing Multiplier

The bonus round is where the progressive multiplier comes in. A plaque at the top left of the screen shows it, and according to Mancala every cascade raises it. Our screenshot shows Multiplier x2 with 6 free spins left, two shark scatters on the grid and a running total of 108.02 – already over 10x the bet of 10.

Mystery Boxes

Mancala also lists Mystery Boxes, which it says hold four different kinds of reward. None of them appears in our screenshots, so we cannot say which reward is which.

Buy Bonus

The wooden Buy Bonus sign above the grid opens a purchase panel. At a stake of 10.00 per spin, the total cost shown was 1,300.00 – 130x the bet. That is a steep price, and it only makes sense if the multiplier climbs well past the level we saw.

Max Win

Mancala caps the game at 3,000x the bet. On a cascading grid with a multiplier that grows during the bonus, that ceiling is reached by long chains of avalanches late in the round, not by a single lucky spin.
