Shining Princess: Rapid Link

Shining Princess: Rapid Link Overview

Shining Princess: Rapid Link is a Japanese fairytale slot from NetGame, drawn in a bright cartoon style. The princess stands to the left of the reels with her umbrella, and pink blossoms and a castle in the clouds fill the background. The game runs on 5 reels and 4 rows with 40 paylines.

NetGame’s official game data lists a release date of 20 June 2023, an RTP of 96.73% (other RTP profiles are available), medium volatility, a hit frequency of 24.8% and a top win of 2,000x the bet. The feature hit rate is 1 in 77 spins. A big win lands on average once every 143 spins, and the maximum exposure is capped at €250,000. SlotCatalog shows different figures, 96.48% and 919x, and bets from 0.20 to 80.

The symbol set is made up of one wild, one scatter, the Cash Sphere, five rare and six common symbols. In the studio’s story the Foo Dogs, once kept only by emperors, guard your rewards, and the princess spins her umbrella to bring in free spins.

Symbols and Paytable

The Foo Dog is the top symbol and the only one that also pays for two of a kind. The other premiums are a lucky cat, a golden mallet, a panda and a stack of gold coins, and the low symbols are pastel A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9. The paytable in our screenshot shows these values:

• Foo Dog – 37.50 / 12.50 / 5.00 / 0.50 for five, four, three and two
• Lucky cat and mallet – 25.00 / 10.00 / 4.00
• Panda and gold coins – 20.00 / 10.00 / 2.50
• A, K and Q – 15.00 / 7.50 / 1.50
• J, 10 and 9 – 12.50 / 5.00 / 1.00

Respin Feature and Free Spins

Foo Dogs can land stacked. When the first reel is filled with them, the Respin Feature starts: the Foo Dogs and wilds are held and two respins follow. Three scatters award 12 free spins, and the respin feature can trigger in this mode as well.

Rapid Link and Jackpots

Four or more Cash Spheres start the Rapid Link bonus, a hold-and-win round. According to NetGame, Rapid Link cannot be triggered during the free spins. Independent reviews of the game describe three respins that reset with every new sphere, extra rows that open after 8, 12, 16 and 20 newly collected spheres, and sphere values from 1x to 100x the bet. Four fixed jackpots sit above the reels: at a bet of 10 they read Mini 100, Minor 500, Major 2,500 and Grand 10,000, which is 10x, 50x, 250x and 1,000x the stake.

Our Demo Spins

We played at a total bet of 10. On one spin a line win of 18.06 lit up the grid, another filled the first two reels with Foo Dogs next to a column of wilds, and a third landed a Big Win of 1,175.00, more than 117x the bet.

Our Take

Shining Princess: Rapid Link packs three different bonuses into a cheerful, colourful package. The Foo Dog respins add a second chance to the base game, and the Rapid Link round with its 1,000x Grand is the one to chase. Try it first in the free demo on the left.
