Sweet Bonanza Dice Overview

Sweet Bonanza Dice is the dice edition of one of Pragmatic Play’s best-known slots, released in January 2023 (SlotCatalog gives 16 January). It keeps the familiar 6x5 grid with a pay-anywhere system. Pragmatic Play lists an RTP of 96.49% and a top win of over 21,000x the bet; SlotCatalog gives medium volatility, a maximum win of 21,100x and stakes from 0.20 to 125.

Dice Instead of Fruit

Every symbol is a coloured die. The fruit of the original survives as small prints on the faces of the lower-paying dice: bananas, pears, apples, plums and grapes, each on its own colour. The premium set is made of rounded dice with blue diamonds, green stars, a red heart and purple moons. The Scatter is a candy hammer – the banner above the grid reads “4x [hammer] wins free spins”.

How the Wins Work

As the banner above the grid says, symbols pay anywhere on the screen. Pragmatic Play states that eight or more matching dice anywhere form a win; they then disappear and new dice drop in from the top, so one spin can pay several times in a row.

Free Spins and Multipliers

Four Scatters start the free spins. According to Pragmatic Play, multiplier symbols of up to 100x can land during the round, and they are the key to the maximum win. Third-party reviews add that the round starts with 10 spins and that three more Scatters give 5 extra spins. The same reviews say that four, five or six Scatters also pay 3x, 5x or 100x the stake before the round begins, and that several multipliers landing together are added up before they boost the win.

Double Chance to Win Feature

The panel to the left of the grid switches the Double Chance to Win Feature on or off. Our screenshots show its price: with the switch on, a €1 base bet becomes €1.25 and a €100 bet becomes €125, so the feature costs 25% extra per spin. SlotCatalog notes that there is no bonus buy option.
