Wanted Wilds Overview

Wanted Wilds is a Wild West slot from Triple Cherry, released on 14 July 2023. Outlaws, revolvers and tomahawks fill a 5x3 grid with 25 paylines, set in a dusty frontier town with a saloon and a wanted-poster wall. SlotCatalog lists a 96.07% RTP (the game comes in several RTP versions), medium volatility, a hit frequency of 21.33% and a maximum win of 2,317x the bet. Stakes run from 0.50 to 50 per spin.

The Symbols

The reels mix Western props with a cast of characters. The premium symbols are portraits – outlaws in hats and bandanas, and two women with long hair – alongside a revolver, a hunting knife and a tomahawk. The low end is covered by card royals A, K, Q and J, printed on worn paper as if torn from a deck in a saloon.

The standout symbol is the outlaw wild: a gunslinger in a long coat who fills an entire reel when he lands. A small W badge at the bottom of the reel marks him as the wild. In the free spins, wilds can also carry a multiplier, labelled on the symbol itself.

The Expanding Outlaw

Three of our base-game screenshots show the outlaw standing across the whole of reel 1. With the first reel fully wild, every line starts with a substitute, and only the next reels need to match:

• Ks on reels 2 to 4 after the outlaw paid €36 – 3.6x the €10 stake;
• tomahawks across reels 2 to 4 paid €15 – 1.5x;
• three of the women’s portraits, again completed by the wild reel, paid €16 – 1.6x.

The markers above each reel are part of the game’s feature system; several of them light up in blue when the reels settle.

Why the First Reel Matters

On a 25-line game every payline starts on reel 1, so a wild that fills that reel touches all 25 lines at once. Whatever lands on reels 2 and 3 only has to match itself to form a three-of-a-kind, and any matching symbol on reel 4 extends it further. That is why our three outlaw spins all paid, even though the symbols behind the wild were ordinary: Ks, tomahawks and portraits. On a reel further right, the same wild would only help lines that had already started matching.

The three results also show how the paytable is tilted. The Ks paid more than twice as much as the tomahawks, even though a royal is usually a lower symbol than a weapon. Without the paytable we cannot split that into symbol value and number of lines, but on a lines game the number of lines a combination completes can matter as much as the symbol itself.

The Savage Feature

One spin in our session triggered a random base-game event called SAVAGE: the grid went up in flames, and a wooden sign with the word dropped across the reels. SlotCatalog lists random wilds and additional wilds among the game’s features, and the fire effect covered the reels before the result was revealed. The event played out on a spin with the outlaw already on reel 1.

Free Spins

The bonus opens with a dark title card: “You won 8 free spins!”, over a table with a hat, a knife and a gun belt. In our round the bottom bar showed a €5.00 prize at that moment, so the trigger itself paid 0.5x.

During the free spins the wilds carry multipliers. One screenshot shows a WILD X3 stacked above a WILD X1 on the second reel, with revolvers lined up along the middle and bottom rows – a €65 win (6.5x) with six free spins still to play. The panel below the reels tracks the remaining free spins and the total prize of the round.

The Ultra Win

The biggest result in our screenshots came at the end of a bonus round: an ULTRA WIN of €1,712.00, which is 171.2x the €10 stake. The celebration shows a posse of masked riders galloping across the screen, with sheriff stars falling from the sky. It is still well short of the 2,317x ceiling, which gives an idea of how far the multiplied wilds can push a single round.

The Duel: Gamble Your Win

After a win, the game offers an optional gamble presented as a duel. A gunslinger fires, and the screen reads “Win the duel and double your prize” over the current amount – €21.00 in our screenshot. The duel itself is a revolver cylinder: most chambers carry an X2 token, while a few are empty. The game’s own text promises a doubled prize for a won duel; the empty chambers are the risk side of the cylinder.

Bonus Buy

A BONUS button sits on the left of the control panel, next to the autoplay counter and the spin button. SlotCatalog lists a buy feature for Wanted Wilds, so the free spins can be bought directly instead of waiting for the scatters.

What Our Session Showed

All our screenshots were taken at the same €10 stake, with balances between €639 and €1,981. The session was driven by the big bonus round rather than the base game: the line wins with the expanding outlaw were in the 1.5x–3.6x range, while the Ultra Win alone was worth more than a hundred of them.

The Controls

The control panel sits below the reels in the same wooden style as the frame. From left to right it holds the BONUS button, a round autoplay counter, the large spin button, a MAX shortcut and the BET field with minus and plus buttons. The very bottom line of the screen shows the current prize, the stake and the balance in small print. During the free spins the panel changes to show the remaining spins and the round’s total prize instead.

Graphics and Sound

Triple Cherry drew Wanted Wilds in a painted, slightly muted style: grey-brown town buildings, a wagon wheel, bare trees against an orange sky, and a WANTED WILDS sign on a wooden roof above the reels. The portraits are detailed and serious rather than cartoonish, and the big-win scenes switch to a moonlit landscape with riders on horseback. The duel gamble is the most cinematic moment, with the muzzle flash and the spinning cylinder.
