5 Hot Wilds Boost Overview

5 Hot Wilds Boost is a classic fruit slot from Felix Gaming, released in June 2024. It plays on a 5x3 grid with just 5 paylines, and its signature is the Line Boost: a menu that lets you pay extra on individual lines to multiply their wins, and on the wild to double it.

Fire on a Purple Stage

The reels float on a deep purple background, and every symbol burns with small flames around its edge. Felix describes the set as nine fiery symbols: a red seven, six fruits – blueberries, orange, lemon, green apple, strawberry and bananas – plus the flaming WILD and a golden dollar scatter.

The five lines are drawn in colour on both sides of the grid, and a strip at the top shows their shapes: three straight rows, a V and an inverted V. When a line wins, the matching colour lights up across the reels.

The Paytable

At the base configuration of 0.05 per line (0.25 in total), the wild pays 25.00, 20.00 and 2.00 for five, four and three, and the seven pays 25.00, 5.00 and 1.00 – five of either on a line are worth 100x the base bet. Blueberries and oranges pay 10.00, 2.00 and 0.50, and the lemon, apple, strawberry and bananas pay 5.00, 1.00 and 0.25.

Our captures match the table exactly. On a 0.25 bet three bananas on the middle line paid 0.25, and four apples on a line paid 1.00. The rules add that only the highest win per line is paid, and that scatter wins are added to the line wins.

Wild Reels

The wild appears on all reels and substitutes for every symbol except the scatter. It can also stack: in one base-game spin the whole third reel turned wild, and a screen full of apples around it paid on every line – 5.00 in total, or 20x the 0.25 bet.

The Scatter

The dollar symbol is the scatter and pays in any position. Its wins are multiplied by the total bet rather than by a line: three scatters paid 2.80 on a 1.40 bet, which is 2x. At that bet the paytable shows 56.00 for four and 700.00 for five – 40x and 500x the total bet.

How the Line Boost Works

The Line Boost button opens a panel with all five lines. The game’s instruction is short: “Boost your favorite lines with x2, x3 or x5. Boost wild with x2 per line.” Each boosted line shows its own price, and the total bet updates as you choose.

In our configuration the first line was set to x5 for 0.20, the fourth to x3 for 0.10, lines 2, 3 and 5 to x2 for 0.05 each, and the wild boost cost another 0.70. Together that raised the stake from 0.25 to 1.40. The boosted multipliers then appear next to the symbols on the reels, and a small x2 badge sits on every boosted wild.

The panel shows the total bet on both sides while you choose, and the Clear and Confirm buttons make it easy to try a setup and reset it. The coloured line strip at the top of the main screen then keeps the chosen multipliers in view, so you can see at a glance which lines are boosted before each spin.

What the Boost Did

With the boost on, one spin landed six x2 wilds around a strawberry and an orange, and the lines paid 12.00 in total – about 8.6x the 1.40 stake. Another spin put lemons on every row with x2 and x5 badges next to them and four x2 wilds between them, and paid 7.00, or 5x.

Those results show how the feature changes the game. Without the boost the base table caps a line at 25.00 on a 0.25 bet; with a line at x5 and a doubled wild, the same symbols pay many times more, but you pay for that on every spin, win or lose.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 96.26% return is slightly above the market average, and medium volatility fits a five-line game where most spins either miss or pay a small line. The 1,000x maximum exposure is the ceiling for the whole bet, and the biggest single entry on the table, five scatters at 500x, shows where the top results come from.
