How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

9 Circles of Hell Overview

9 Circles of Hell is a classic fruit slot with a burning twist from Amigo Gaming, released in July 2023. A chili-pepper devil in a sombrero keeps watch over a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines, and the game is built around one scatter: the Hell Circle. The more of them land on the screen, the higher you climb on a nine-step prize bar. The official figures are medium volatility and a maximum win of x5,000; SlotCatalog adds a 96% RTP. Stakes run from 0.10 to 100.

The Prize Bar

The column on the left is the heart of the game. It pays for Hell Circle scatters anywhere on the reels, and at a 2,000 stake it reads:

  • 9 scatters: 2,000,000 – 1,000x
  • 8: 1,000,000 – 500x
  • 7: 200,000 – 100x
  • 6: 80,000 – 40x
  • 5: 30,000 – 15x
  • 4: 10,000 – 5x
  • 3: 2,000 – 1x

The ticker confirms the top step – nine scatter symbols on the reels pay 1,000x – and it also tells you what else the circles do: they trigger a re-spin and trigger 10 free games.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at a stake of 2,000, and two screenshots check the prize bar exactly:

  • Five Hell Circles – stacked on the third and fourth reels – paid 30,000, the 15x step.
  • Four Hell Circles paid 10,000, the 5x step. A counter at the bottom left showed 7 during this spin, the kind of counter the game uses for its extra spins.

The line wins were smaller but steady. Five golden bells on the top line paid 4,000 – 2x the bet – with the chili bonus symbol sitting on the middle reel. A wild with a line of sevens paid 6,500 in a two-line win of 8,500, and the best line of the session, a wild plus sevens, paid 32,500 in a three-line total of 35,500 – 17.75x. The game also has a full-screen “5 of a kind!” celebration for five matching symbols on a line.

The Symbols

The reels are pure classic: cherries, bells, dollar signs, BAR, single 7 and double 77, all wrapped in flames. The WILD is written in burning red letters, and a red chili with the word BONUS is the bonus symbol. The Hell Circle itself is a blazing disc with the words “Hell Circle”, and it lands in stacks – on our five-scatter screenshot it covered almost two full reels.

Free Games and Re-spins

Amigo's description explains how the features connect: three or more Hell Circle scatters award a bonus phase of 10 free spins, with the chance of re-spins that lead to bigger prizes. The ticker adds that Hell Circle scatters are collected during the feature. The free-games screen itself is not in our screenshots, so we do not give a result for it – but the prize bar shows the stakes: every additional circle on the screen moves you up a step, and the jump from seven to eight scatters doubles the prize from 100x to 500x.

The Numbers at a Glance

  • Layout: 5x3, 20 paylines
  • Volatility: medium (Amigo Gaming and SlotCatalog)
  • Maximum win: x5,000
  • RTP: 96% (SlotCatalog)
  • Stakes: 0.10 to 100
  • Scatter prize bar: 3 circles = 1x up to 9 circles = 1,000x
  • Free games: 10, with re-spins
  • Best line win in our session: 32,500 – 16.25x

The gap between the steps is worth noticing: from three to six circles the prize grows gently, from 1x to 40x, and then it jumps – 100x for seven, 500x for eight and 1,000x for a full nine.

Graphics and Setting

The whole game burns. The background is a wall of orange flames, the reel frames glow red, and every symbol has a small fire of its own. The mascot – a moustached chili pepper in a sombrero – stands on top of the prize bar and changes pose between spins. It is a simple, bright design that suits the classic-slot layout.

Who It Is For

9 Circles of Hell is for players who like classic fruit symbols but want a feature with a clear ladder. The prize bar is easy to read and easy to check, the 20 lines keep the base game moving, and the scatter steps go all the way from 1x to 1,000x. Medium volatility and a 5,000x ceiling put it in the middle of the Amigo range. All six casinos we checked carry it. For another Amigo fruit slot with a hot theme, see Super Chili.
