A Day at the Harbour

The reels stand in front of a sunny harbour with wooden piers, palm trees and a seagull perched on a post in the bottom-left corner; in the free spins the sky turns to a warm evening glow. The high symbols are a white motor yacht, a blue fish on a hook, a set of green fishing floats and a red lifebuoy, and the card ranks from 10 to A fill the low positions.

Two symbols run the game. Orange fish tiles carry cash values – we saw 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and one worth 500 – and the fisherman in a green jacket is the wild who collects them.

The layout is clean and mobile-friendly. The Paytable

At our 10.00 bet the yacht pays 1,000.00 for five, 100.00 for four, 25.00 for three and even 2.50 for two – five yachts are worth 100x the bet. The hooked fish pays 500.00, 75.00 and 15.00, the floats and the lifebuoy 250.00, 50.00 and 10.00, and all five card ranks 50.00, 12.50 and 5.00. NetGame’s own symbol list describes the set as one wild, one value fish, one free spin fish, four rare and five common symbols. The yacht is the only one that pays for two of a kind, so it is also the symbol most likely to add small wins on top of a catch.

The Fisherman Collects

The collect mechanic already works in the base game. In one spin a fisherman on reel 5 picked up the 10.00 fish on the screen and showed 30.00 on his tile, and the spin paid 35.00 in total. In another he collected a 20.00 and a 30.00 fish for 50.00. Any spin with fish on the screen can therefore pay out without a single line win, as long as the fisherman lands with them. During the free spins the same collector runs on every spin, and that is where the larger fish values tend to appear – in our captures the 40.00, 50.00 and 500.00 fish all showed up in the bonus.

That also works in reverse: fish without a fisherman pay nothing, and a fisherman without fish is just a wild. The two have to meet on the same spin, which is why the orange tiles are the first thing to watch on every spin.

Buy Bonus

A shopping-cart button on the left opens the Buy Bonus. At our bet it cost 1,500.00 FUN – 150x – with the promise of “guaranteed at least 3 Fishes with number of Free Spins”. We bought it, and the balance dropped from 1,695.00 to 195.00.

The Free Spins

The bought spin landed three red fish marked +4 FS on reel 4, and the award screen gave 9 free spins with the line “Fisherman catches fish – look out for the x1000 fish”. The free spin fish is a separate red symbol from the orange value fish: instead of cash it carries a number of extra spins, and three of them are what the buy guarantees. The x1000 fish is the prize that lets a single catch reach deep into the 12,000x range.

A bar across the top of the reels counts the fishermen who land during the round. Its markers show the retriggers: +10 free spins at x2, then x3 and finally x10 further along, so collecting enough fishermen both extends the round and multiplies what they catch.

The bar has twelve slots, and the markers sit on the fourth, eighth and twelfth. The first four fishermen therefore unlock ten more spins at x2, the next four ten more at x3, and a full bar ten more at x10. A small panel on the left of the reels shows how many free spins are left.

What the Session Did

With four free spins left a fisherman collected 150.00 from five fish worth 10, 50, 30, 20 and 40. On the last free spin a second fisherman caught a fish worth 500.00 together with others and showed 590.00 – 59x the bet from a single catch. The top bar had two fishermen marked by then, not yet enough for the first multiplier. The final total of the round is not visible in our captures, so we cannot say whether it beat the 1,500.00 price of the buy.

A 96.25% return is close to the market average, and the high volatility shows in NetGame’s own figures: a winning spin comes about one time in five and a half, and the free spins about once in 163 spins.
