Sunrise On The Plains

The grid stands in front of a wide desert plain, sage and scrub in the foreground, flat-topped mesas along the horizon. The sky changes with the game state: pale blue daylight in the base game, a deep orange sunset during the feature. The BISON MADNESS PrizeTower logo sits to the left of the reels with a bison head above it.

The premium symbols are prairie animals, each on its own coloured panel: a flaming golden bison, a brown bear, a green-backed horse, a purple eagle and a blue wolf. A, K, Q, J and 10 fill the rest, and gold coins tumble across the reels alongside them.

The shape of that ladder is the whole story. From six coins to sixteen the prize grows fifty-fold; from sixteen to eighteen it grows another tenfold. Two extra coins at the top of the tower are worth more than the entire climb beneath them. This is where the 9-out-of-10 volatility rating comes from – not from the animals, which pay in single-digit multiples, but from a ladder whose last rung is ten times the one below it.

Free Spins That Keep Extending

The feature is a free spins round with a counter under the grid, and ours behaved unusually. It began at SPINS: 2/20 – two played of twenty awarded. By the time we took the next screenshot it read SPINS: 24/29.
