Bonus Time Overview

Bonus Time is a Smartsoft Gaming wheel game rather than a slot – the studio files it under its X-Games range and SlotCatalog under “other types”. It runs a 96% RTP with a maximum win of 500x the bet, and it is played in timed rounds with a betting window rather than spin by spin.

Theme and Graphics

There is no theme in the usual sense. The screen is a dark blue control panel with a chrome-and-glass wheel mounted at the top, lit from underneath, and a grid of bet cards below it, all glowing in neon blue, purple and green. It is built for a phone held upright: wheel on top, bet grid in the middle, controls under your thumb.

How a Round Works

The wheel has six coloured segments carrying four symbols – a heart, a spade, a green V and a blue X – plus an orange BONUS wedge.

Between rounds the wheel greys out and the screen reads PLACE YOUR BETS – GAME STARTING SOON over a filling progress bar. You place your chips during that window; once it closes each card you have backed changes from NO BET to ACCEPTED with a green tick and your stake printed beside it.

The Four Symbol Bets

The lower half of the grid holds the straightforward bets, each with its payout printed large: heart 2x, spade 2x, V 5x and X 10x.

They pay exactly as stated. One round with 100.00 on the heart and 300.00 on the spade – a 400.00 total – returned 200.00 when the heart came in: 2x on the 100.00 chip, with the spade stake lost.

Another round with 20.00 on each of the heart and the V paid 40.00 on the heart, and at the smallest stake in the captures 0.05 on the spade returned 0.10.

★ Every one of those is the printed multiplier applied to that one chip, with nothing carried over from the others. The odds here are transparent in a way slot pay tables rarely are: you can see what each outcome pays before you commit.

The Three Bonus Bets

Across the top of the grid sit three larger cards, and these are where the ceiling lives: DOUBLE – MAX 200x, BOOST – MAX 100x and CHEST – MAX 500x.

They pay out when the wheel stops on the orange BONUS wedge, and each opens a different mini-game. CHEST at 500x is the source of the game’s advertised maximum win – the other two cannot reach it.

Inside the Boost Bonus

The Boost round is the only one visible in the captures, and it looks nothing like the main screen. Two translucent rings rotate through each other against a dark grid, each carrying numbers – 15, 18, 25, 30, 41, 44 and 46 in the capture – with 3 SPINS LEFT printed above them.

So the bonus is a multi-spin round rather than a single reveal – different structures behind each card, and different ceilings.

The Chip Stepper

Between the bet cards sits a single chip with plus and minus buttons above and below it, shown at 0.05, 20 and 100 in the captures and changing colour at each level.

Because you can back several cards at once, the total bet and the individual stake are different numbers – 120.00 total from an 80.00 heart chip and a 40.00 V chip in one capture.

Who Should Play It

Bonus Time suits players who prefer fixed odds to reel mathematics. Every payout is printed on the card you are betting on, the round is over in seconds, and you can spread stakes across four symbols and three bonus games at once.

The 96% RTP is standard and the 500x ceiling is modest – this is not a game with a life-changing number attached. Think of it as a betting screen rather than a slot, and it makes sense on its own terms.
