Bubble Beez is a charming beehive release with a sort of gravity Tumble Reelz™ mechanic, and there are plenty of features and modifiers to cover.

We have seen apiary-themed slots before, of course, but on closer inspection the bees look like some kind of candy instead of actual insects. They produce honey nonetheless, and the Honey Prize keeps increasing as you play. Getting lengthy tumble sequences is the name of the game, as this is how you’ll benefit from multipliers and modifiers that prolong the sequence. The honey prize is a cherry on top you get once in a while, and the overall 5,792x potential makes this a solid release well worth a closer look.

Bubble Beez Slot Features

The Any Adjacent Pays system means that you win when at least 3 matching symbols are adjacent to each other in any direction anywhere on the grid. All winning symbols are removed, and this triggers the Tumble Reelz mechanic where new and/or existing symbols tumble down to fill the gaps. This process repeats for as long as your winning streak lasts. All pay symbols are worth 0.08x your stake in a win, and you can land Wilds to help complete or improve wins.

The Queen Bee Feature triggers from collected winning symbols that are framed by the Queen Overlay frame. You need to collect at least 3 Queen Bee Overlay symbols in the same tumble sequence to trigger a modifier, and 1 of the 3 following modifiers will then play out as the tumble sequence ends to possibly prolong the winning streak:

• Symbols transformations where pay symbols are turned into another pay symbol type.
• A triangle of pay symbols are turned into the same matching pay symbol.
• Symbol removal where both queen bee overlay and honey prize symbols are collected.

You can see the frames around the grid light up as Queen Bee Overlay symbols are collected, when the number of lit frames drop below the 3 Queen Bee Feature ends. This happens when you stop winning, and everything resets to zero between spins.

A triangular winning combo of at least 3 symbols triggers the Triangular Multiplier feature, and it positions itself adjacent to all triggering symbols. The multiplier doubles all symbol prizes within the winning combo that is adjacent to at least one triggering symbol. The multipliers remain in play for the whole tumble sequence.

The Bee Boost feature becomes active after the second tumble feature round, and the multiplier grows in accordance with the number of tumble feature rounds you’ve accomplished. The multiplier is capped at x5 though, and it will boost all pay symbols for the current round before it resets on the next spin.

A Buzz Bomb symbol can appear on non-winning rounds only, and the bomb will explode to remove a certain amount of symbols from the grid. In addition, relevant queen bee and honey prize overlay symbols are collected, and this triggers a tumble that may give you a win.

You need to collect 5+ Honey Prize Overlay symbols to win the Honey Prize, and honey prize overlay symbols are collected in the same manner as the queen bee overlay symbols. The Honey prize increases after some game rounds, and it will always be somewhere between 4 and 123 x your stake. The Honey Prize will reset if you land the biggest prize.

Review Summary

The always unpredictable Crazy Tooth Studio has combined elements from different competitors out there in this game, but Bubble Beez still comes across as a highly original and entertaining effort. The Tumble Reelz mechanic is clearly inspired by ELKs gravity mechanic, but it goes well together with the charming bee/candy-like symbols. The grid slot concept is hardly new either, and Crazy Tooth could perhaps have pushed the limits a bit further.

You are basically collecting framed winning symbols that may or may not be multiplied in different ways, and this triggers modifiers that can keep your winning streak going. With a bit of luck the tumble sequence is topped off by winning the honey prize, but this prize is hardly overwhelming even at its 123x peak. Still, you can win up to 5,792x your stake in Bubble Beez, which is decent, and we do believe most grid slot fans will have a good time with this game.
