How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Buffalo Goes Wild II is a Hold and Earn slot from Mancala Gaming and the sequel to the studio’s popular prairie slot Buffalo Goes Wild. It arrived in casinos in October 2026 and keeps the original idea: a 5-reel, 3-row grid full of North American wildlife, a bonus built around coin symbols and four fixed jackpots. The new part is a row of three glowing pots above the reels, called Multiplier, Coin Booster and Jackpot, which can switch extra features on during the bonus, and a Buy Bonus button that lets you jump straight into the action.

A Sunset On The Great Plains

The base game is set on an open prairie at sunset. Orange and red light covers the grass, snow-capped mountains rise in the distance, and a huge red-brown buffalo stands on the left side of the reels, ready to react to every spin. The reels sit in a wooden frame, and above it the four jackpot signs (Mini, Minor, Major and Grand) are shown on coloured plates, with the three treasure pots hanging over them. The mood changes completely in the bonus: the sky turns purple, and the buffalo becomes a pale white spirit animal that watches the respins. It is a simple change, but it shows at once that you are inside the special round.

Animals And Card Ranks

The symbols are split into two groups. The low-paying symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q and J in bold, wood-carved letters. The high-paying symbols are animals of the plains and the forest, each one inside a coloured frame: a brown bear, a grey wolf, a raccoon, a lynx and a bald eagle. The buffalo itself is the Wild, and special FREE SPINS markers appear on the reels too.

The Three Pots

The three pots above the reels are the core of this sequel. Each pot stands for an extra feature: the Multiplier pot is full of gold coins and a blue gemstone, the Coin Booster pot is a deep pink bowl, and the Jackpot pot glows orange. When a feature is active, its pot lights up, and the game text in the Buy Bonus menu explains that a bought round gives 3 respins with the chosen feature switched on, plus the chance to activate 2 more features. In plain words, the more pots light up during the round, the more ways there are for the coins to grow.

Buy Bonus

A gold Buy Bonus button sits in the top-right corner of the screen. It opens a menu where you pick the feature you want to start with and see the price before you confirm. At the default demo stake of 20, the Multiplier option costs 1,600, which is 80 times the stake, and the Coin Booster option costs 1,200, which is 60 times the stake. The buy starts the bonus immediately with the chosen pot already active and 3 respins, which makes it a quick way to see the feature, though a bought round costs far more than a normal spin, so it suits bigger budgets only.

The Hold And Spin Respin Round

The bonus is a classic Hold and Spin style round, which Mancala calls Hold and Earn. Coin symbols with a cash value are collected on the grid and stay in place while the other positions spin again. The respin counter on the left starts at 3 and goes down after every respin that brings nothing new. Each time a new coin lands, the counter goes back up to 3, so a good run can last much longer than three spins. The coins seen in the demo at the stake of 20 showed values such as 10, 20, 100, 180, 200 and even 1,000, which means from half the stake up to 50 times the stake for a single coin.

Diamond Multipliers

Besides the plain coins, the round can bring diamond symbols with a multiplier on them, such as x2, x7 or x9. They are shown in bright blue and stand out clearly from the white coins. These gems fit the name of the Multiplier pot, and they are the best reason to try the Multiplier option in the Buy Bonus menu.

Jackpots

The four jackpots are fixed prizes, shown above the reels all the time. At the demo stake of 20 they read 2,000 for Mini, 5,000 for Minor, 30,000 for Major and 60,000 for Grand, so they are worth 100x, 250x, 1,500x and 3,000x the stake. The jackpot prizes scale with the stake, so the ratios stay the same at every bet level. Filling the grid with coins in the Hold and Earn round is the way to the biggest rewards.

RTP And Volatility

Buffalo Goes Wild II has an RTP of 95% and medium-high volatility. In practice this means that wins do not come on every spin, and a good part of the return is held back for the Hold and Earn round and its jackpots, so the balance can move slowly between bonuses. It is wise to choose a stake that lets you play long enough to reach the coin round.

Who Will Enjoy It

Buffalo Goes Wild II is a good choice for fans of the original and for anyone who likes Hold and Earn bonuses with extra features. The theme is easy to love, the three pots give the bonus a clear plan, and the Buy Bonus menu offers a quick way into the action. Players who want a fast, light game may find the slow bonus animation too long, but players who enjoy watching the coins collect will have a good time.
