Cash or Crash Overview

Cash or Crash is a live game show from Evolution, released on 2 September 2021. It takes place on board a blimp flying over a busy city. There is one bet and a 20-step ladder of prizes, and the top prize is up to 50,000x the stake. SlotCatalog puts the RTP at 99.59% with optimal play and lists stakes from 0.10 to 1,000.

How a Round Works

A presenter runs a ball-drawing machine that picks coloured balls at random. As Evolution explains, every green ball moves you one step up the ladder, while a red ball ends the round and your winnings with it.

Take All, Take Half or Continue

After each green ball you choose what to do next. Take All ends your round and banks the current prize. Take Half keeps half of it and plays on with the rest. Continue keeps the whole amount on the line in the hope of climbing higher. These choices are why the best RTP needs careful play.

The Gold Ball

A gold ball gives you a shield against the next red ball and can raise the prizes on the ladder. According to Evolution, it also starts a Bonus Round where the decisions are skipped while you are protected.

The Studio

Evolution calls the show entertaining, tactical and easy to play, and uses augmented reality for the blimp ride over the city. Between rounds the screen shows “Next Game Soon”, and a history strip in the corner records how far recent rounds climbed before a red ball stopped them.

The Ladder

In our screenshots the rungs start at small multipliers such as 1.6x, 2x and 2.7x and climb to 18,000x at the top. Once you have a bet in play, the rungs switch to cash amounts for your stake, as the €10 bet in our third screenshot shows. Gold balls can lift the top rung all the way to 50,000x, the figure on top of the ladder in our second screenshot.
