Cursed Seas Overview

Cursed Seas is a multiplayer shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 24 July 2024. There are no reels: you sit at the edge of a haunted underwater arena with a cannon, aim at the creatures drifting past, and every catch pays a cash prize based on your shot value. Shots run from $0.01 to $10.

KA Gaming has not published an RTP, a volatility rating or a maximum win for Cursed Seas, and SlotCatalog lists them as unavailable, so we leave them out rather than guess. Everything below comes from our own demo session, played at $1.00 per shot.

Three Rooms for Three Budgets

The game opens with the message “PLEASE CHOOSE A ROOM” and three cards, each fronted by one of the game’s monsters:

• Bronze – shots from $0.01 to $0.10, with a grumpy spotted mushroom
• Silver – shots from $0.10 to $1.00, with a purple bat creature
• Gold – shots from $1.00 to $10.00, with a grinning white ghost

The rooms split the players by stake, so small and large bettors never share a table. Our $1.00 shots sit at the bottom of the Gold range.

A Haunted Seabed

The arena is a dark teal cave with ruined arches in the background and glowing crystals at the edges. The targets are a strange crowd: purple and blue slime drops, green spiked pufferfish with huge eyes, walking sharks with sharp teeth, little wizards in pointed hats, mushroom creatures and cloaked ghosts. One stage switches to a purple crystal cavern with a school of grinning blue sharks.

The other seats at the table read WAITING FOR PLAYER when nobody is there, and your own cannon sits at the bottom with its shot value and balance beside it.

Reading the Table

Your station sits at the bottom of the screen. The cannon is mounted on a small purple base, the current shot value appears between a minus and a plus button, and a glowing blue crystal marks the right edge of your seat. A player code and the demo label freeplay are printed beside it, and an arrow on the left edge opens the side menu.

The plus and minus buttons change the shot value within the limits of your room, and every prize on the screen scales with that value.

Small Catches

Every catch shows its prize on the spot, and the screen fills with gold coins whenever a group goes down. At a $1.00 shot we saw small prizes of $5.00, $6.00, $7.00, $8.00, $9.00 and $10.00 – 5x to 10x the shot – often several at once as one volley brought down a cluster of slimes and pufferfish.

Glowing rings also spread across the arena at times, and one catch released a spinning disc marked $10.00.

The Big Monsters

The large creatures are where the real money sits. A purple hooded reaper went down for $177.00 in a burst of coins – 177x the shot – and a white ghost in the crystal cavern paid $269.00, or 269x. In the same stage a group of sharks returned $45.00.

Those catches show the shape of the game: most shots return nothing or a small multiple, and the session is carried by the occasional big monster.

Weapons at the Cannon

Three special weapon icons sit beside the cannon, and one of them showed a price of $6.00 at our $1.00 shot. The game does not explain their effect in our captures, so we leave their value to a test in the demo above.

Not to Be Confused

Who Should Play It

Cursed Seas is for players who enjoy arcade-style shooting and a spooky cartoon look rather than pressing spin. The three rooms make it easy to start at a cent a shot, and the big ghosts give every session a target to chase.

It is not for anyone who wants a published RTP before playing – for now the free demo is the best way to see how it feels.
