A Cabinet In A Shower Of Gems

The game is drawn as a physical machine – a green-panelled cabinet with a chrome handle and a bulb-lit frame – standing in a storm of falling emeralds and rubies. The whole scene is lit acid green in the base game and turns molten gold during the feature, which is a striking change and leaves no doubt about which mode you are in.

The symbols are pure bar-machine stock: a green emerald, a red 7, a BAR plate and a bronze coin, with a BONUS star and an x2 tile appearing among them.

Look at the whole ladder and the shape is brutal at both ends. Three to six coins moves you from 3x to 40x – a pleasant but unremarkable climb. Six to nine moves you from 40x to 3,000x.

The Top Rung Is Almost The Whole Ceiling

Kalamba’s published maximum for this game is 3,700x, and the full board pays 3,000x. Those two figures sitting so close together tell you something useful: there is no hidden multiplier chain here, no progressive pool, no second feature stacked on top.

The remaining 700x is what the paylines and the x2 tiles can add alongside a full board. In other words, the ceiling of this game is simply filling the grid – and because the grid is only nine squares, that is a target you can genuinely picture rather than an abstraction.

This is not a criticism so much as a description. Kalamba publishes these figures itself rather than leaving them to catalogues, which is more than most studios in this bracket do, and they are unflattering but accurate.

Three Reels, Five Lines

The line count is printed at the top-left of the screen as LINES: 5, and on a three-by-three grid that means five of the nine possible paths are live: the three rows and the two diagonals.

It is worth noticing what that does to the design. With only five lines and four symbol types, the base game has very little room to produce anything – which is exactly why the Cashpot ladder carries the entire weight of the game. The reels are there to deliver coins, not to pay you.

The x2 Tile

One symbol among the emeralds and BAR plates carries a plain x2. It is not a coin and it is not on the Cashpot ladder – it doubles whatever line it forms part of, and on a game with five lines that is a meaningful addition rather than a decoration.

Our BAR board with an x2 on the right-hand reel returned €400.00, which is four times the stake from three of the cheapest symbol in the game. Without the tile the same screen would have been worth half that.
