Snow On Every Symbol

The reels sit in a pine forest at night, green boughs filling both sides of the screen and points of light drifting between them like distant fairy lights. The frame is striped red and white like a candy cane.

The symbols are Fazi’s usual fruit set given the seasonal treatment: every one of them – the orange, the lemon, the cherries, the grapes, the watermelon, the bell, the red 7 and the gold star – wears a cap of snow. The clover keeps its own colour, and the logo reads Xmas Fortune Clover with a Santa hat on the C and a bright x2 beside it.

The Seven Is Worth Six Hundred Times The Bet

In multiples the shape is dramatic. Five sevens are worth 600x the bet; five of anything else is worth 100x at most, and the cheap fruit tops out at 20x. The seven is six times the next symbol down, and it is the only symbol that pays for a pair – two of them return twice your stake.

Against a published ceiling of 2,624x, five sevens on their own get you not quite a quarter of the way. The rest is the clover’s business.

The Clover Doubles, And They Stack

The green four-leaf clover carries a small x2 badge and behaves as a multiplier on whatever it helps complete. Two of them on the same board is not 2 + 2.

One of our spins landed clovers on the second and third reels, both marked x2, with oranges and cherries around them. The win came to 3,000.00 – 20x the stake, from a board whose actual symbols were worth a fraction of that. Another with a single clover on the third reel and a run of grapes returned 1,500.00, or 10x.

Multiply two x2 clovers together and you have four; three gives eight. Set against a top line of 600x, that is exactly how a 2,624x ceiling becomes reachable – not from the sevens, but from the sevens with clovers on the board.

A board with three gold stars scattered across the second, fourth and fifth reels – on three different rows, nowhere near a payline – returned 450.00. That is precisely the star’s three-of-a-kind value, which confirms it pays as a scatter rather than on a line.

A second board with four oranges filling the middle row paid 900.00, exactly the four-of-a-kind figure for the cheap fruit tier. Both numbers land on the printed values to the cent.

Five Lines On A Fifteen-Position Grid

The line count is the constraint that shapes everything else. Five paylines across a 5x3 board means the vast majority of the fifteen positions do nothing on any given spin, which is why the individual values are set so high – a 600x top line would be unthinkable on a 40-line game.

It also explains the star being a scatter. On five lines, a symbol that only pays in a line would be almost worthless; letting the star pay from anywhere gives the board a second way to produce something.

Our balance moved between 49,550 and 54,350 across the screenshots, drifting up as often as down. That is medium volatility behaving exactly as labelled, and it is the practical consequence of a game where the seven is rare but the clover is not.

The Grapes And The Star Are Equal

One pairing in the middle of the table is worth pointing out because it changes what you look for. The gold star and the grapes-and-watermelon tier are identical for five and four of a kind – 15,000 and 3,000 apiece – and separate only at three, where the fruit pays 1,200 against the star’s 450.

So the star is the weaker symbol at the size you will see most often, and the stronger one only because it can pay from anywhere. It is a neatly balanced trade: the fruit needs a payline and pays more for it; the star needs nothing and pays less.

96.45% Is A Good Number For This Shape

The return is above average, which is generous for a five-line machine with a 600x top line and a doubling symbol. Fazi has not loaded this one with network jackpots – unlike several of its stablemates, there is no progressive bar across the top – and that is precisely why the base game can afford to pay better.

It is a useful comparison to make. A slot with three climbing pools has to fund them from every spin; one without can put the same money into the reels. If you prefer a fair game to a lottery ticket, the absence of a jackpot here is a feature rather than an omission.
