The reels float in front of a dense green rainforest with palm leaves in the foreground and golden letters spelling out the title above the grid. The premium symbols are animal portraits framed in bronze – a tiger, a black panther, a gorilla in a golden helmet and a fox – and the low symbols are four cut gems in red, blue, green and purple.

Two special symbols stand out from the rest: a glowing blue lotus, which is the wild, and two different scatters – a golden castle and a wooden treasure chest. The lotus gives the game its name, and in our session it did most of the heavy lifting.

The Lotus Wild

The lotus wild appears only on the second, third and fourth reels and substitutes for every symbol except the scatters. In our captures it usually arrived as a full column of three lotuses, which matches SlotCatalog’s listing of expanding symbols among the game’s features.

A full wild reel in the middle of a five-line game is a strong thing to have, because every line runs through it. One spin with a lotus column on the second reel paid on four lines at once for 40 credits, and another with the same pattern paid 80. The best spin had lotus columns on both the second and the fourth reel and turned a fox combination into a 200-credit win – 40x the bet.

Two Kinds of Scatter

The castle scatter pays anywhere on the screen: three are worth 15 credits, four 100 and five 500, or 100x the bet. We saw the three-castle payout during the session, highlighted with a “WIN ON SCATTERS” message.

The treasure chest works differently. It appears only on the first, third and fifth reels, and three of them pay 100 credits – 20x the bet. Inbet’s own game catalogue lists no free games for Lotus Oasis, so both scatters are straight cash prizes rather than feature triggers.

The balance moved from 1,995 at the start of our captures to around 2,035 after the first run of wins, then down to 1,580 by the end. The game pays often in small amounts, and the larger results in our session all came from a lotus column landing in the right place.
